Anyone else, who is going the route of disconnecting the negative terminal, have issues with it not coming off, after the screws were taken off?
I didn't force the issue, as not to break anything, so I wasn't sure if I had to do something else, or it just needed to be jiggled to loosen and come off.

Please let me know, and what you did to get it off.

Thanks

Sorry Frank can't answer, as I'm using a trickle charger...
Let us know how it turns out.

Paul.

I loosened one nut, the one on the terminal furthest from the wires (10 mm I believe) and wiggled it easily off. If that does not work, use a regular screwdriver to "spread" the terminals gap a bit.

At this point I just left it connected, and hope for the best come Spring.

Thanks for the info, I may unwrap the back end of my car and give it another try, especially the part of spreading the terminal with a screwdriver, never thought of that.

Yes, we in the Northeast, Midwest and most of Canada commonly put them away.....
We like to say that it's due to winter-weather drivability; however, its a good excuse to baby them, and keep the mileage low....! LOL!

I'm confused by the manual for the "US 3300 Camaro" battery charger which I bought with the car. It is written as though the battery is under the hood like the majority of cars. It states:

1. Connect positive charger clip (red) to positive battery terminal.
2. Connect negative charger clip (black) to a good metal engine ground away from the battery. Do not clip to fuel lines or sheet-metal body parts.

Sorry for the stupid question, but this is my first time. Do you connect it under the hood, or in the trunk where the battery is?

the negative they speak of is under the hood, the positive is also under the hood and has a red plastic cap that must be popped of prior to use, easy to do.

Thank-you so much!

For what it's worth the positive connection doesn't seem as good as the negative connection. It seems like the positive clamp could easily jar loose.

I took a photo for anyone like me who has never done it before.

I thought the same thing too when I first saw it.
