Splash Guards
Anyone know if the Camaro molded splash guards will fit on the ZL1? They don't appear to be an order option which is why I ask.
RPI Designs has what they call "stealth" front and back splash guards that look like they might fit. http://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item....rds---stealth/ Know of anyone else selling splash guards for the ZL1?

Haven't seen them yet but if they are like the SS you can get body coloured and they blend in seemingly well

Now that I've take a little closer look, I don't think the Chevy splash guards will fit on the ZL1. The ZL1 has a different rear valance and side rockers. Probably explains why the guards aren't an option when ordering.

Yes There are specific ones that when you sit down with your dealer and order your car do in fact come up on the GM Workbench when you build it. It doesn't show on the GM site tho Just have no idea what they look like until someone orders them and installs. They are all LPOs so dealer installed and a stand alone dealer order in option through parts .. Can't wait for someone to post so I can make my decision ...

Good to know there are ZL1 specific splash guards available. I'm going to check with the dealer next week about ordering a set.

Did anyone ever find the right part number for the GM ZL1 splash guards?

Just bumping this to see if GM ever released ZL1 rock guards.
Has anyone tried buying the SS guards and routing out the little areas where the ground effects package interferes? I dont like the look of the ZL1 addons versions..

To my knowledge there is no GM part for the rears on the ZL1. Maybe now that we're coming into the second model year the numbers might be big enough for them to offer it. I would even be willing to put a set on the front only for now, and might talk to my dealership parts folks about that. The ones I've seen offered by aftermarket companies are crap, I'd rather nail on a used welcome mat.

GM doesn't make a ZL1 specific splash guard for the front or rear yet.
The existing front GM splash guard will fit if you drill a new mounting hole in the splash guard's inner mounting bracket bottom tab, to compensate for the wider ZL1 fender. The only thing keeping it from being a perfect fit is a slight gap where the splash guard angles inward. I also test fit a GM rear splash guard, and I don't see any way to make it work. |

The lower half of GM splash guards are not flexible, so there is not way to get them to follow the lines of the ground effects. The ground effects are just to thick, especially at the bottom.
