Question FlowMaster American Thunder...

Has anyone installed on their car American Thunder Flowmaster exhaust? If so how does it sound? Is there excessive drone as you cruise? In my 05 mustang GT, there was slight drone from the exhuast, it was bareable tho. I have seen the promo clip by Flowmaster, but I was wanting the opinion of you guys before I go ahead and purchase them. Will installing an aftermarket exhaust void my whole warranty on my car?

Nothing technically voids your whole warranty. To refuse a warranty repair, they have to prove that whatever non-covered thing you did/added/removed/altered caused the damage in question.

Installing a Flowmaster exhaust system will not void your factory warranty. There may be some modifications that have the potential to void a vehicle’s factory warranty, but modifying the exhaust system after the catalytic converter is not one of them. Flowmaster's American Thunder Axle-back system (part #817743 * *) will increase volume levels both inside and outside the vehicle. That said, we list this particular system as mild in terms of interior sound and the majority of our customers find it to be very livable inside of the car. If you have any questions, give us a call at 707-544-4761 or send me a PM and we’d be glad to help you out.

I have it on mine, sounds good,.there is drone around 2200 rpm and up. Not a deal breaker but is kind of annoying at first. I've gotten use to it. It's a mild drone not headache inducing.

You get that same drone the 5th Gen V6 had the solution is a resonated x-pipe. It will make the tone slightly deeper and eliminate the drone completely. I get a little drone on my 2017 I4 but not nearly as bad as my 2011 V6 was when I put an axle-back on it.

I have a video from my dashcam that you can hear the sound when driving. gimmie a bit and ill post it. not the best to showcase the sound, but you hear what it sounds like under hard acceleration. Had the stereo up and the bass messes up the audio a little. best i have right now. Turn up your sound to hear it better. https://youtu.be/M1_qlfzzUWs

Sounds good! How much of that is the exhaust though vs. how much is the induction noise from the intake?

90% exhaust. I recorded another video with my phone from the back seat this morning. I'll post in a bit.
