Yeah and most likely GM trucks in few years. I just wonder on reliability in a tow vehicle, a lot more added weight to stress internals and would it be hunting for gears every time you hit the slightest hill or get on and off the gas. The current 6 speeds seem to have to drop 2 gears on a decent hill and 1 gear anytime you try to accelerate at all and on a steep hill drops 3 gears down to 3rd let off gas a second back to 4th back on gas down to 3rd/ whats a 10 speed going to do in those situation??? hope around from 4th to 8th or 9th gear. will that mean many more gear changes more wear on them more heat more stress???? I have no clue but I do know I hate it when I tow and the truck is constantly changing gears.
EDIT: Also add to that the Raptor runs 35" tires another added stress on the whole power train. |
