I added a 3rd exhaust volume to my NPP, ultra loud mode! - Page 4

So I just got the QTP cutouts specific for the 2016 installed. First lets just start with this. They sound amazing. So I would say if you already have NPP and want a crazy loud mode this is your ticket.

With that said if I was to order again I think I might go with a different company. I had issues with shipping which I wont go over but it was pretty ridiculous.

Second the QTP 2016 specific parts were cut more like they had the 2016 in mind and not that it was FOR the 2016. The pipes were cut to deep so we had to put massive seams to get them on. Then we had to grind down the flange in order to get the kit to kind of fit.

Lastly the switch is atrocious. Its needs a good 6 inches of depth to mount. Good lucky finding that. It is also insanely hard to press. They could have splurged another 2 bucks on a quality switch which I assume they rely on the customer to do or live with their junk.

Overall the cutouts are a good buy. Next time I might go with noweeds or DMH.

I hope maybe this is just a case of the first few not being right but they really put me off with the whole experience.

So the cutouts go before the mufflers? I'm new to all this, and was wondering if cut outs could be installed before the cats. Would doing so throw any codes?

Before the primary cats would be a tough fit. Not sure if the reduced flow when open would trigger a code though. Best place is to remove the secondary cats and place there.

Hmmm i'm tempted to research this further and maybe try it. It would be awesome to go from Stealth to Track, and then to essentially open headers lol

Can you post up pics or tell how you routed the wire into the vehicle and where you mounted the switch at? A video would be appreciated also.

I'm packing for a trip today but if I get a minute I'll make a video and some pics. For the switch though I still haven't mounted it. Looking for a better switch first.

Yeah the switch came with mine but I opted to use their wireless remote. It works perfect and can even be programmed to the home link buttons. You may want to swap the switch out for the wireless remote. I ordered from a 3rd party through eBay and it appears it was drop shipped from qtp. Showed up very fast. Sucks that you didn't have the same experience

Man, that's great! Think I might have to grab these. Any idea if the rest of the exhaust in that Camaro is stock?
