Just got a response back from Edelbrock. (Man, they are quick to respond!) They stated they have seen this kind of MAP over-response before on another setup. The solution was to add in an orifice to the actuator hose to soften the vacuum signal. Makes sense. An orifice should be on its way soon from Edelbrock.

As for the high IAT's and cooling; I may try either Water Wetter or Evans Cooling first and see if that helps. A larger heat exchanger may be an option also. I may also try a cooler thermostat. I know It won't help much, but might make me feel better. My only concern about adding in a lower range thermostat is if it will it keep me in warm-up/open loop mode if I don't hit the operating temp the ECM is expecting. Regardless, some improvements on overall heat rejection seem to be in order.
Who are you woeking w can u send me his email..

Procharger...

I'm kind of lost on this forum section, but here goes. I've been around since August 2015 on this forum. I really would like some feedback on the "wow" factor of owning a Camaro6 with an SC added. I'm seheduled to have a Procharger installed on my Camaro at the end of the month. Otherwise it's stock. I also plan on using it as a DD.

I would love to get any forum members who have a SC on their Camaro and what their experiences have been. Even if it isn't a Procharger. Please provide any and all comments in laymen's terms. I'm not a gear head.

Thanks...

This is a difficult question to answer in that one man's "wow" factor is another man's "meh", but I'll give it a shot.

Imagine that your Camaro has both the 6.2L engine and an additional 2.3L-ish engine...somewhere in the car. With a PD type forced induction, both engines would build power at the same linear rate and both feed the back wheels. Kind of like a huge big block engine. Lots of torque off the line and steady power build. The centrifugal FI will have somewhat the same pseudo-second engine feel, but the second engine would build the power (torque) slower than your main engine, the 6.2L, at first, then would quickly start building power faster, roughly the square of the RPM. This is a pretty crude example, but hopefully you can imagine the difference in the feel of the power delivery. We like to pontificate in this sub-forum on the differences, but in reality, they both can put a grin on your face every time you drive them. Instant torque pulling from a stop with a PD(which I really like) verses a snappy buildup in power once the car gets going (Centri). Not a huge difference for the basic SC setups.

Like any other mechanical "thing" some people won't be able to respect the added power and take the time to build experience with the new power to weight ratio. Other are fearful that they couldn't handle the power; and I agree that there is some point that more power doesn't translate into more fun. (I haven't found that power point yet, but I'm still looking for it. ) I was side stepping the car out of the corner for the first 200 miles with the added power. Now I feel very comfortable with my setup.

To me, I have finally found the right combination of power, cost and handling with the SC Camaro. There isn't too many cars in the world I can't run with, or, you can take it out for a Sunday cruse for leisurely wine tasting, like I do. You're gonna love it!

I would switch from Pro Charger to Magnuson or Edelbrock.
