If you read that disgusting disclaimer,. Some of the offers aren't compatible with each other,. So it is impossible to combine them all for the total deducted.

Check Rodger's Chevrolet where Becky hangs her hat. Their pricing looks much more realistic.

And yes, this other dealer has a "trade in a Camaro" discount on top of a "Mustang discount".

Guessing they are looking for this to get people to come in for the price only to find out it's the same as every other dealer. This seems beyond bate and switch because the car actually IS there................you just can't get the price unless you have a unicorn in the back of a 59 Chevy pickup with an LS3 under the hood.

I went looking at 3 of my local dealers and the rebate thing is funny, I was even told not everyone will qualify for most of the rebates offered in order to get a better price. That's why when I went looking I was disappointed because I only qualified for one or 2 rebates and those wouldn't even cover my ridiculous city of Phila sales tax(8.5%) .....

Yeah. That dealer is disgusting and I saw the same thing at another low price ad that I checked on that cars.com link. They destroy their own credibility. I wouldn't even trust them to roll my trash can to the end of my driveway.

I think next month will be the month to buy. Incentives will likely be coming across the board. I think they'll probably run closer to 7k units next month.

You know, I was scrolling on my facebook recently and saw an ad there from a local ford dealer and I thought back to this thread. A dealer promotion, they were selling a 2017 mustang roush performance package of 727HP for about $40k. Now picture that, and also picture the average Joe trying to get his first american performance car when he compares this price to the price of a camaro 2SS with modest features which is close to $50k.

It is no wonder that mustang GTs are being sold so rapidly. On every commute I make I see at least 2 new generation GTs on the road in comparison to maybe 1 new generation camaro. And even when I do it's one of the 4cyl or v6s. An $8k+ price difference will win over most individuals, especially when they are getting more performance for the money.

Hell, I had two of my buddies that recently ended up getting 2017 GTs, fully loaded, for little over $30k. They test drove the camaros and challengers and they honestly said they wanted a camaro, but could not justify the performance and price when compared to a mustang. I wonder what was GM thinking? Aren't these two cars supposed to be close competitors on the market?

Crazy year to me for the Camaro. First you don't see hardly any around here most of the year and now the ones that are on lots have very good discounts.

IMHO, the cars were overpriced on purpose and the discounted price is the true MSRP; the illusion is the discount ("Once you realize there is no spoon and it is you that bends."--quote from the movie "The Matrix).

I'm on a business trip down in Southern Oregon this week, and for kicks I stopped by Airport Chevrolet in Medford...

Every single one of their new Camaro's has an ADM. The salesman tried to say he would give me a $3500 discount..that's when I pointed out it would only take it down to MSRP.

That was pretty much the end of the discussion.

Chevy probably built up its inventory betting people would gobble them up once they offered the "discount" but I think in the process they've already pushed away/missed many potential buyers, who may have already purchased another vehicle by now. I believe the worse (good times for buyers) is yet to come for Camaro sales. The cars still aren't moving off the lots. And I believe more people are doing the research and finding the information posted on these forums very useful. The younger buyers are keen on retrieving information quickly which can be found via the web. We even have young people reviewing cars on YouTube and I think their reviews have a significant impact on young buyers.

I don't think today's generation is into cars like we were when we were younger. The cars got us out to communicate with friends with the potential to meet new people. Nowadays younger people use their phones and the web to do that by utilizing video to see one another and etc. And I also believe that many older buyers just aren't willing to pay these types of prices for something they believe should be for far less. It reminds me of some our senior citizens who still try and offer to only pay 5-10 dollars to someone to mow and acre of grass or shovel their long driveway and sidewalk for pennies. In their minds, 5-10 dollars is a lot of money and the worker should be happy to get it. I think many middle aged people who grew up with muscle cars aren't willing to pay luxury car prices for what essentially is a shiny cruiser; many of us don't want to live on the performance edge like we did when we were younger we have more to consider nowadays. Is all this worth $45K+? I don't think so.

What's happened is the Camaro has outgrown many people's wants and needs. The name is alluring and if you want one you'll be forced to pay for the sticker shock.

Also, gas is cheaper now, which helps boost car sales and the economy, but if gas gets back to $4/$5 per gallon, the Camaro SS and higher require premium,....whew.

Gladly my wants don't overshadow my needs and there will never be a car made that will make me feel like I'm not enjoying life to the fullest. It will never be that serious to go from A to B for me.

My advice: Don't overextend yourselves people; it's just a car. You'll enjoy it for a minute and then move on to the next big thing when it comes out.

I agree. The prices of these cars are falling fast and there are still tons on the lots.

I'm starting to see lots of great deals on them. Not a good thing if you were a first adopter that got bent over and now want to trade, but good for the guys looking for one now.
