I think your correct the 37 state will be less restrictive or have the more aggressive tune and more power. Would love to know what type of performance increase we are looking at.

This cold air intake would go good with the MSD intake manifold.

Anyone find odd MAFs like the early 5th Gens? I know that was quite the bother for those of us with early VINs in 2010 when it came to adding on CAIs.

It will come with a code for the GM Dealer to be able to pull a new flash file from GM for the update. Much like they did with the 3:91 gear option from performance parts. So yes, the GM dealer will have to flash the controller.

That it would and we have those in stock as well. I will most likely do some package pricing once we get definite pricing on the GM CAIs.

That is the reason I am assuming at this time as well. I am going to see if we can get 2016 SS on our dyno and do a before and after comparison when they become available.

Hey guys!

Check out our thread for the intake development we are doing for the new Camaro SS! We've come up with a prototype design and we have just about wrapped up testing. We are in the process of gathering results now. Updates are coming soon so be sure to check it out!

There is going to be 2 options to choose from and they will include tuning. The tuning will be done by your local GM dealership and the tuning will be included in the price of the CAI.

Option 1:
LT1 Air Intake - 37 state legal with calibration

Option 2:
LT1 Air Intake - CARB 50 state legal with calibration

The single part number that is in the current 2016 GM performance parts catalog is going to be obsoleted by 2 new numbers for the 2 options. I do not have the #'s yet but pricing should be very close to what was shown at SEMA/PRI. I am still expecting release of these to be early 2016 so hopefully we will be able to start moving these very soon.
Any news on this?
