Wouldn't pulling the starter relay work? Pretty simple and takes less than a minute.

Low tech and may not work on newer cars, we used a simple dimmer switch under front fire wall carpet (called kill switch) to interrupt the ignition circuit. Cars/truck would crank like crazy but not fire. Set on and off by foot. Saved my truck twice. A newer version of a manual switch may work??

As to the gone in 10 seconds vid, one can lock front wheels at full lock left or right to avoid the rear axle hook theft.

Not sure if the new cars have vin on all glass and major body parts, but that may make them move on.
