License Plate Bracket Drilled into Bumper

Greetings.....

I had finalized a deal with a dealership in New Hampshire and was going to go pick up the car tomorrow, but Yesterday I found out that they have Holes drilled into the Front Bumper for License Plate Bracket, really din't wanted any drill holes on my Car's Bumper as I was going to use STO N SHO.....Should this be a deal breaker?....any thoughts?

Thanks....

Did you tell them not to beforehand?

Is this something they do as their normal routine to all their cars and you just didn't know, or did you specifically ask them not to beforehand & they had agreed but then did it anyway?

deal breaker for me but if you are getting a car sitting on a lot you might have to compromise.

Same situation as you. Saw the car and it looked AMAZING without the stock bracket. Whent inside to sign my life away while they washed it (it just got of the truck). Came back out to see that they had put that bracket on even after I expressed that I did not want it on there. So he took it off for me and now I have holes. But the only time I even notice them is when I'm detailing the car. IMHO this is far from being a deal breaker for me. If it bothers you to the point where thats all you look at, the makes plugs that you can cover them up with. Don't know how it would look, but you wrap that plastic pice with black gloss vinyl. Hope this helps, try not to sweat the small things.

I agree 100%.... No deal breaker.. On the other hand I love this car and understand how many owners truly think of it as their baby and would not want ANY harm to come to the baby. Especially if "baby" will be in car shows.

this happened to me. I drove 1 hr 15 min to pick up the car I wanted. As they were working on the paper work I walked outside to get some air only to find the car with a front license plate. deal was immediately over

someone bought it the next week

If it was on the lot then they usually have it riveted before it even hits the lot for sale. If you ordered it or did the deal while it was in transit that's a deal breaker if you don't mind me asking who'd you use as a dealership?

I told my dealership weeks before delivery not to install the bracket. They figured that and made a note. By the fixix way, I spoke with a CHP (California Highway Patrol) officer yesterday and he told me that the fix-it ticket for no license plate up front was $25. Hell, I thought it was $100. He also said that the color of your car doesn't make any difference. That speeding (80 mph in a 65 mph zone) is reason to pull you over. That erratic lane changes, tail-gating, racing another car and basically acting stupid will get you pulled over in CA. Sure it's the same everywhere. FYI

Why was it drilled into the bumper?

My car's licence plate holder is attached to the front grille, NOT the bumper, it doesn't touch ANY painted surface.

Deal breaker for me. Way too much money to pay and not get it the way you want it.

I'm in Michigan (no front license plates) and had them pick up my car from Ohio (front plate required). My Salesmen specifically checked on the front plate before they grabbed the car. The Ohio dealer told him they never install the front bracket on high end vehicles as they never know if this will be an issue. Mine arrived sans front bracket installed but I did get charged for it. That was fine with me.....
