Haha that's funny. So far, I've had a bunch of people take a few rides in it, and few have gotten to drive it. I do want my fiancé (girl in the picture with me while it's still at the dealership) to drive it, but she says she too afraid of the power. So one of these days we will find an open parking lot and I'll teach her around there. I do want her to be comfortable with it, just in case she ever has to drive it in the future for whatever reason.

Agreed! We got a bunch of issues here, but we also have the most available to us. I particularly love where I live because I'm just a few hours away from the snow, or the beach, or even Yosemite. Everything is very easily available for a day or weekend trip if I want.

But most importantly...ALL of the amazing driving roads!!

I mostly wish the HUD had the shift lights that the previous gen had. This is my first manual DD. And I'm doing pretty dang good in it, if I do say so myself. But it would have helped me to have shift lights. Particularly for downshifting.

For those of you who have a manual and are super good at knowing them, what is the lowest RPM you let the car reach before downshifting?

Yeah shift lights would be nice feature.

For me, 2k is the lowest I let mine get to before downshifting. Active rev match will help with smooth downshifts as well.

My personalized plates won't be here until September but I have these regular CA ones. I was going to leave these off completely and just put on my personalized ones when the arrive. However I picked up this plate holder this weekend and couldn't pass it up so I decided to put my regular CA plates on now.

Slave to the Traffic Light is a song title from a band I really like, and living in Los Angeles and owning this car - I've never identified with it more!!!

Also I've decided not to put a plate on the front, just going to risk it and hope for the best. I'll install a sho-n-go plate holder and keep the plate in the trunk so hopefully I can talk my way out of a ticket if I need to. (Knock on wood) I haven't been pulled over in over 20 years and have only gotten 2 tickets in my life, only one for speeding. Grey minivan and other non descript cars don't catch a cops eye quite like this one will though!

Also - got her washed this morning and the ash off of her. The brush fire is super intense and really close but the pressure system that was holding the smoke in is gone so I shouldn't get another ash bath like I did Friday night.

I'm no manual expert but 1500 rpm is usually my threshhold

Glad you got all the ash cleaned up. Bummer on sept for the custom tags. And good luck on the no front plate!

Just so I understand - You put a new plate holder on the rear of your car so then you had to wash it's ash off?

Sorry. I could not resist that one. It all clicked when Kaizer said "Bummer"

Not Camaro related but FINALLY got my truck fixed. Both recalls taken care of as well as my rear end clunking fixed. Ended up having to replace most of the rear suspension for a known issue with my 14 MY GMC Sierra.
