Mine work fine although on a really hot humid day it takes a few minutes to start being effective. I've actually had to turn them down a few times.

So I'm seeing a wide range of responses. I suspect the range of opinions is due to the fact that we're dealing with upholstery and variations in the padding installation could affect how well the seat cooling works.

I'll play with mine a little more, but I don't think mine are effective at all. May have to take it in and have the dealer check it out, but don't like the idea of the dealer tearing into the upholstery.

Mine work great. If my back is not sweating on a 90 degree day, I am a happy camper!

Mine seemed ok the first couple times I tried them but I'm not so sure anymore. It seemed like during my initial testing that after having them on for a while I got used to it and couldn't tell they were on.

Also, and it may be my mind playing tricks on me but I swear trying them out today it seemed like the seat was getting warm instead of cool. Yes the vented seat function was on not the heated option and yes I could hear the fan running in the seat and I tried both the driver and passenger side. Anyone else experience this at all?

Well, I wonder if the seat has been cooking in the sun and you just turn the ventilated seats fans on then it could just circulate hot air. Others have said they work better if you set the AC to use the floor vents where the seat fans can pick up the cooler air and ventilate it through the seat.

It takes a good little while, but I can feel the cooler air on the seat bottom and my back. Just now using it fairly consistently.

I like how it cools my nuts. On the Lexus, my 1SS doesn't have those seats.

Mine did the same exact thing today, granted the car was sitting here in 100 degree temps all day long but I could feel the cool on my bottom but my back was definitely getting warmer instead of cooler. I will put the A/C on the floor position ans see if that helps.

Yeah it seems this requires a bit more experimentation. The seats weren't hot themselves when I experienced what I described but they seemed to get warmer when the fan was on. It's possible they were just pulling warm air from elsewhere in the car. I tried this morning and the cooling effect seemed to be fine.

I should mention that I've been leaving the A/C system on auto where the car controls fan speed, temp, and output location. I really love that feature. My apartment doesn't even have an auto cool/heat thermostat so I've been relishing the relative luxury of this option. Might try experimenting with manual, directing to the floors, and see what that does as related to the seats when I think they're not being effective.

The only way I can describe how the cooled seats feel, is like a cool menthol sensation....almost like someone put a small amount of BioFreeze on your skin.

Or Im crazy.

Worked again just fine today. A/C still on auto, hot and humid as all heck outside. I guess it's ok.
