I have an uncle, when he seen my car he said. " Yeah, it will 0 to 60 quick. But after that its slow. If your going 60, then try and go... it wont go anywhere. My Crown Vic could beat you from a 60 roll. From a stop, you will get me off the line but after that.... ill catch you." I just nodded my head and said "yeah I bet so."

He then says... "You should of just got a Hell Cat, now that's a fast car". I said "I would rather get a C7 then get a Hell Cat". He didn't agree with that.

I had a guy try to tell me something that I don't know about his 2016 2SS. This was after I told him that I was a design engineer on the damn car. Some people just can't be wrong.

Just had a guy who owns a WRX...not an STI...tell me that my 2016 Camaro might win in a drag race, but Camaro's can't handle so he would smoke me on a track. Some people still have not caught on that the 2016 Camaro
handles very good for a $40k car.

Had some guy at the local brewery tell me his stock WRX (not an STI either) would walk my SS... I just laughed loud and went back to drinking my beer.

I hate to say it because I respect all performance cars, but people in import performance cars are often ignorant.

I agree with all that's been said. Wonder if anyone notices this on the road like I do. V6 Chargers and Challengers always challenge me and did in my 2010 modded Camaro SS every time I seemed to be on the roads. My '16 runs so much better than the '10 so I let them go flying by which seems to annoy some of the drivers. Waste of my time and gas!

I'm actually surprised that I don't get challenged much while driving the 2SS... I mostly just get a thumbs-up/nod-of-approval/wave or some question about year/power/z28.

What always surprises me is how many people are willing to put their lives on the line and split traffic like they're on a bike after a fair pull just because they lost. Does "beating" some random person on the highway mean so much to them that they just say "F@#$ IT, TIME TO DIE I GUESS".

Also, the amount of people stepping up while I'm riding a sportbike. Literally everyone would try to block a reasonable (or unreasonable) pass or speed up to try to keep up - or whatever they though was going to happen in that situation. I honestly wouldn't even step up in my 2SS; bikes are just so much faster.

Great stories. Mine is more lame. Ever notice when you leave a light and ever-so-slowly accelerate to the speed limit + 10% - and glance in the mirror at the SUVs and minivans 10 car lengths back - that occasionally one suddenly starts charging towards you to get ahead. Its not a race, they just HAVE to pass you. To be in front.

This is where the fun begins. As soon as they are alongside nearly match their rate of acceleration and watch it slowly increase. At some point usually well beyond 20+ over they will realize what the game is, and that their childish impulse to get by the nasty Camaro while trying to disguise themselves as a driver in a simple hurry has been fully revealed, along with their inability to judge speed, pay any attention to their speedometer, take their eyes off their side view mirror, etc. Then tap the brakes and drop that 20mph in a fraction of a second.

Do your part to educate other drivers.

Haha. I know this is offtopic, but it is pretty darn funny. A guy posted his prius for sale on the local facebook group called "Man Cave items for sale"... You talking about a show. So many hilarious remarks really was great until the guy took his post down or deleted it whatever after a couple of hours. The best being.. "Does it come with a pack of tampoons?" (No offense to women obviously as I know a lot of women who drive cool cars and I wasn't the one who said it.)

That's pretty genius actually I have noticed this. That and the big dually trucks always seem in a hurry to pass me.. Then the keep at least half their tires off in the shoulder tossing rocks, gravel, god knows what.... then it's time to pass em up and put a lil distance between em.
