Thank you for all the info. I guess, perhaps I should wait until the convertible ZL1 comes out and decide from there.

Wonder if they will make a convertible Z28?

Lingenfelter and Maggie - will keep your warranty and be the best solution for your LT1 Camaro.

+ 1 on this.

OP: I kind of relate to your situation, I have 3 Kids in college + 1 in high school, and have allways wanted a Sports Car. So, I decided to get this BEAST. It does outrun anyone but the most stupid (more than I) on public roads. This car is DAMN fast.

Will we mod them?

These do not void the GM warranty? I thought any SC would, especially with a custom tune

The Edelbrock E-Force and Magnuson kits both replace the GM warranty with their own powertrain warranty.

What about Prochargers?

Both will void your factory warranty. Both will give you 600+ HP. If you're not after that much increase, look at bigger injectors, a throttle body/intake upgrade, cold air intake, exhaust upgrade, and a tune. Find a good tuner shop and they can hook you up with some smaller $ upgrades that will set your SS apart.

Just my two cents.
On Progharger's website they warranty for 1 year...

The best I can tell from their website is that the 1 year warranty is for the kit only, not the powertrain.

I would not go anywhere near a Pro Charger if I were the OP.

One thing to keep in mind with these "warranties" that come from the supercharger makers is that they're complete garbage compared to your GM warranty and only go so high. Just do your own research before you jump into anything. Make sure you understand how the tuning software being used works if you need updates. If you get one don't bring your car to the dealer and let them update your computer and expect to drive out of the lot either lol. Also, get a rider on your insurance for your mods. They're cheap and cover you if you're in an accident...otherwise kiss that $ spent on mods goodbye.

If I were you I'd want my resource doing the install to have done one before and be local just in case. Think about the shop's reputation...when it's time to sell, you'll have a harder time if you had some random guy do it. I also would check to see when your car was made before modding it. It's just my theory, but I'd be extra cautious with a early production car.

I can honestly tell you that I've put 4k miles on my car since getting my work done and it's been completely trouble free for me at least. Headers sound incredible on this car too. The ZL1 will never come with those.
