No, not at all. It was just awfully presumptuous of you that's all.

I get why you think it was on the street but we don't know for sure.

My races are only at track events and Mexico. What is the redline shift points on our car? I see it shift at about 6000-6200 is that low or normal?

thatīs what we do all the time on autobahn...if it is free enough; if not use your lamps and horn, haha.
So, yes we are always in a roll when flooring it and the automatic shift delay is to much to compete against a manual.
Shift in maual mode in a gear where the engine revs about 4-5000 safe and floor it. Before it comes to redline switch to auto mode and let the tranny do its work.
Sporty drivers do that all day long here....but C7īs A8 do overheat when get on them hard for about 15min depending on outside heat and road (hills or much curves with braking zones).

Sorry dude, you lost this time, next time try a little harder!

Or floor it on the second honk in automatic mode. I did that all the time with my prior '12 CTS-V. That gives the transmission a half second or second to downshift and take off at the same time the manual transmission car you're racing has floored it.

ok, and in a manual and lets say you're in fifth gear. do you lower your rpms and downshift to 2 then floor it?

All of the tracks in florida have a Street Racing Made Safe night, which you can have roll races all night at whatever MPH you want to start at, but typically you hit it from 20.

considering you're a manual, I wouldn't go to 2nd from 5th. Roughly at 40mph you can downshift to 2nd and honk it off.

You want to start in whatever gear puts your rpm right in your power band, usually around 5k rpm. 40 rolls would be 1st gear for a manual, not sure for an auto. But Downshift to that gear and upshift right before the Rev limiter to account for delays in the trans. Or floor it on 2nd honk lol.

Yes this does work in both manual and automatic mode. If its in automatic mode you need to hit the downshift paddle once to drop one gear (Display will go from "D" to showing next gear down) then hit and hold the paddle again and it will drop to maximum downshift. In manual mode just hold the downshift paddle.
