The Corvette is the priority and the Camaro isn't, which is why the ZL1 and Z28 are getting the LT4 with a 1.7 liter blower. The Z06 needs the small blower for hood clearance. The Zs have no such limitation but are still stuck with the small blower.

Yeah, the hood is determined by the engine but, to get the hood where they wanted it, the smaller blower was used.

I can't imagine them not putting it in the Vette for so many reasons.

If it doesn't fit, it doesn't fit. Same reason the M7 is not in any Alpha based cars.

I believe they are already running the A8, and if the difference in minor I am sure they could make it fit.

The A10 does in fact fit the C7 and it will be available in the Z06 in place of the A8 for '17. The M7 does not fit the Camaro's Alpha derived chassis without some modification.

A little birdie told me this is happening along with some other updates and this is one of the reasons for the delay in '17 Z06 info and production. Just take it with a grain of salt.

I'm convinced that the Z28 will be a high revving NA engine but that the body will be primarily carbon fiber to bring the weight down 20% and allow it to out perform the ZL1 despite having less power. How the fender crumpled in the crash video did not look like metal.
