It doesn't seem like DiabloSport is done with their tune on the 2016 SS just yet, but they're the only ones that boast "no flash counter" tunes for these cars... Do with that what you will. I know OP said he wants to go SC, but figured I'd throw these 2 cents in.

Trifecta says the same thing.. but there are also posts on forums regarding 5th gen camaro's and other cars that suggest that trifecta locks the ECU to then only accept Trifecta tunes even if you revert back to "stock" prior to switching and you then have to take it to a dealer to have the ECU fully reset.
I'm all for a company like trifecta wanting to protect their work but keeping it locked even after reverting ... bad news there. I'd reach out to any of these companies first and ask them about that before putting any money down. |

Diablo is still working on finishing their A8 tuning to release their software/canned tunes in order for mail in tunes to work as they gotta update the handhelds. M6 is done but won't release it till A8 is done, sadly. I was going SC but decided to save the money and get me a second camaro, the ZL1 instead. 2018 model for a peace of mind (upgraded suspension/internals etc) and 100% warranty. I am waiting on diablo to release theirs and a couple other companies to release their parts so I can get tuned by *******.

So intake, tune, headers, nitrous before the ZL1? :P If you build a solid setup with all the proper safeguards, its a fun alternative to have in your arsenal, for when the blown stang kiddies try to get a jump on u haha

Trifecta doesn't backup your ECM/TCM. Rather it ships with it's own "stock" copy and as such they "protect" it the same as their tuned version. There is no other way it seems to "unlock" and revert to true stock. To the dealer you go...and have fun explaining that. |

TRIFECTA calibrations are locked to protect our IP in the same way other tuning suites allow locking. That's to say if you bring the vehicle to the dealership with a locked flash in it, the dealership won't be able to flash it, either. However, when you revert to stock (factory) programming using TRIFECTA's flash tool, the ECM becomes unlocked also, allowing any other tool to access it (including the dealership tool). |

Any claim from someone stating that the 'stock' calibration we provide you is 'locked' or 'ours' in any way is incorrect. That has never been the case. People that have had issues with the ECM being inaccessible probably still has the TRIFECTA calibration, the custom calibration, installed and did not flash back to stock as you are supposed to. As for the Custom calibration being locked, that's not a 'problem' or 'issue'. That is simply us protecting our IP, as stated previously. The stock calibration that is included with all TRIFECTA products, no matter the platform, is GM's own current 100% factory calibration that was originally equipped on your vehicle. If you flash back to stock, the vehicle will be just that: factory stock like when it was new, with the ability to tune it then with whatever product you want. |

Can't speak to the 5th gen people but I've been running the trifecta tune for almost a couple months now. The entire process was pretty quick in getting the cable and the tune to flash. Instructions straight forward . Tune has so far worked as advertising.
I have a completely stock v6 setup still. My best 0-60 on the 20" rs tires is 5.6 seconds but that's using the in-dash timer so it was from idle. Not expecting much performance increase but the most noticeable and beneficial change was the fixing of the throttle deadzone when initially pressing the accelerator from a stop. Very pleased with it and the service that I experienced so far. |
