So until 15k, my OCI's are 2500mi, 3,000mi, 5,000mi, which to me sounds like a good way to work up to the full 7500mi suggested OCI. I changed to Mobil 1 at the first oil change.
F**k that. I'm changing oil every 3 months or 3K miles just like I have with every car I've ever owned. My deal came with oil changes for life and if they won't cover all them under that, I'll pay to have it done.

A) What type and brand of engine oil are you using?
B) Have you ever sent your used engine oil to a company like Blackstone for analysis? They'll tell you how often you should be changing your oil, using science! It's $35-40 and good peace of mind to see if you're changing too frequently or not frequently enough. They can also tell if certain metals are abnormally high in your oil, indicating a possible internal engine problem (like worn bearings).

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but... do you guys recommend changing the rear diff fluid after break in even if there are no problems?

YES!

I had no problems and changed it because I wanted to change it (and reading about other people changing at 1500mi). I actually noticed a difference after afterwards in the LSD working more in the canyons w/ the clean fluid in there.

Yes. There is a lot of breakin debris even at 1K miles. I change mine at 1K then again at 3500. There was minimal metal on the magnet the 2nd time around. The second time was to go back to the GM fluid from the Mobil 1.

I haven't seen this. I'll make one if I can. Just have to wait to get it.

I"m kinda confused on to why the dealerships dont want to change the diff... It's not a free service right? They are doing it and charging you, seems odd they don't want to do it then. Although I am no mechanic so there might be a reasons.

They will change it if you pay for it...as far as having covered under warranty, some will and some won't. Depends on if they see the bulletin and feel that they can get it covered from GM.

Is there an online service manual or any other trusted resource fro common DIY things like this? One that has torque values, quantities, and whatnot...

I'm on the same boat, my dealer didn't want to, and I didn't insist on it since it was at only 1000 miles and didn't push for it, but I want it done now for sure anyway, and if its cheaper and easier to do it myself, then I will.

Quantities should be in the owners manual (I would think. Don't have it open right now). Torque values are only in service manuals from my experience. And the service manuals cost hundreds of dollars. I can't wait until a Haynes manual comes out for the gen 6.
