Some car magazines simply fail the Camaro because of the visibility when comparing it to the competition. Some really don't acknowledge the Camaro's other obvious advantages which make it the better car for it's intended purpose.

This is my third newer Camaro (2 5th gens and this one) and regardless of what you can and can't see, I am not aware of any comparably priced car I would trade it for. I have had 5 Corvettes, 5 Mustangs and 65 other vehicles in my lifetime and none excite me as this Camaro does.

The car has an obvious visibly issues. It keeps coming up across all media forms. It must be pretty bad because the gen5 car isn't great for that either, but I don't remember folks complaining about it as much. Just because it suits you doesn't mean it should for everyone. That's all many of these guys are saying.
Was actually just joking but rant on

Visibily in c6 improved by 10%....need another 10% and more hood indent on each side to give the CENTER a more raised look...just have to be extra careful in tight spots.....I'm Canadian!

Alot of people are comparing the Mustang to the Camaro based on sales #'s.....The Camaro wins the #'s game where it really counts to a consumer Performance #'s
I dont give a crap if the Turbo 4 mustang sells more units in the UK than the Camaro...Do You??
Back to the original point, If you cant see out of it and it bothers you...Dont buy one. No biggie, your not going to hurt my feelings. I do think the Mustang will continue to outsell the Camaro because the Camaro is more expensive, you get alot more car but alot of people dont care about that stuff. To say the design is a failure or the car in general is a failure because it will(or wont) outsell the competition is silly!

Personally, I'd be perfectly happy if the Mustang out sells the Camaro by 10-1! I'd prefer a little exclusivity in my Camaro. The last thing I want is another Hyper Blue Metallic Camaro SS staring back at me at every intersection and 3 in every parking lot. I see so many Mustangs everywhere I look that I don't even give them a second glance unless there is something very special about them!

The Gen 6 isn't, in any remote way, going to be rare or exclusive. The sales are off to a slow start, but even if sales never rise above 6,000 a month, that's going to be 72,000 on the streets just this year.

The Challenger only sells around 4,000-5,500 a month..but look at them...they're everywhere.

Having had my car now for a little over a month and also being a very proud first time Camaro owner at 58, I am finding that the visibility issue is way overblown. Some articles did have me a little worried at first, but during my test drives it was never enough to not consider ordering one. At first I admit, I even gave in to all the critics and in stalled two small spot mirrors on each side, (since removed). The more I have driven this car, the more it has become a non issue. If you are on the fence about buying this car because of visibility, don't be!

That is it exactly, people just get in this car for the first time and do a review and may make mention that the visibility isn't great, and it isn't, but what you don't hear is that after a few sessions of driving it is a non issue for most.

It's way over blown IMHO and frankly there isn't much else to note as a negative besides the back seat space so by default, it usually gets mentioned when talking about negatives.

I think thats the point that the original person who started this thread was saying. people who review the car get in it for the 1st time and say how horrible the visibility is. if every writers says the visibility is that bad I bet alot of people wont even consider a test drive.
writers really have beaten the visibility thing to death!

But if you watch/read the full reviews, every one I have seen has ended the same way - with them saying that the car is great, if not best in class and comes highly recommended.

It would probably be hard to win a "Car of the Year" award with what some would have you believe is a major visibility flaw.

Hmm, 9 judges and none that noted that they feared for there lives because of visibility or that they couldn't recommend the car because of it.....on the contrary....HIGHLY RECOMMENDED....CAR OF THE YEAR

Wow we're not even waiting for the ZL1 or Z/28 owners to get the exclusivity comments going this generation?

Maybe I should have emphasized the "little" aspect of my exclusivity comment! It's not like I have any delusion of not seeing lots of Gen6 cars running around, after all, look at how many Gen5s we see on the road every day, but the more people who buy Mustangs rather than Camaros, the fewer Camaros we'll see everywhere we go. A "LITTLE" exclusivity is better than none! At least for a little while!
