My guess is that it'll be rated at 650 like the Corvette...but I've been wrong before. I would be quite shocked if it produced more power than the Z06...though it's been said that the company isn't "protecting" the Corvette for any reason.
That is awesome. It would really be something else if it has more power/torque than the Corvette. I would be impressed. I'm going to go with my gut and the sounds and sights of the video of the '17 ZL1 going around the track with the GM guy at the wheel, that it is going to have more power than the Corvette. Meaning,......more power for the Corvette next model year. I may be wrong, but I'm going with my gut here. (Always go with your gut, right? )
I really do like the car. I said it before and I'll say it again,........I'm not too crazy about that rear spoiler though. A spoiler like the 1LE would be killer.

Well I do not believe the Z06 has the GG Tax so at least with the 10 speed auto it may also get by without one, who knows at this point though.

From the Chevy Website, it DOES have a Gas Guzzler Tax:
http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette-z06-supercar.html

It was $1,300 on the Z06.

Looks like earlier ZL1s had Gas Guzzler penalties (tax) too:

The chevy mobile site I checked on the "build your own" did not show one..but on the Chevy SS it showed the $1300. That is why I thought it might not have one. Oh well, thanks for correcting me.

I went back and on the manual no GG tax showed up but when I did a automatic it added the $1300 GG tax.

The Z06 manual transmission barely squeaks by without the gas guzzler tax. The Z06 automatic does not.

The ZL1 will weigh more than that car.

More than likely, with the track-oriented gearing the manual transmission will not escape the GG tax...no idea if the 10 speed will make a big enough difference to escape it.

Exclamation

I do want this car, but missing is Wireless CarPlay -- where is that GM?

Yea, also what about a 7 speed manual? Also, how does a 10-speed auto work on the track -- is it always hunting around looking for a gear? That is a concern I have...

Do we really want to get into the price p'ing contest. If so isn't the Hellcat 20K+ cheaper than the Z06, and I don't think it has overheating issues.

Presently Dodge offers the premier track vehicle ACR, and the premier straight line vehicle Hellcat. So whether you want to go fast on a track, street, top-end, or 1/4 mile the fastest American cars are presently offered by Dodge until somebody bumps them.

Have you watched the videos? Looks like the 10 spd does fine to me on the track.

Showroom stock cars, Dodge says the Hellcat runs low 11s in the 1/4th mile. GM says the Z06 runs high 10s. I'll admit the new ACR is definitely fastest around most tracks (but we don't have a comparision to the Ford GT, yet), but I wouldn't call the Hellcat the fastest at the strip. All this street stuff is a bit ridiculous as there are no standards. Making claims about swapping tires is also invalid. After all, one could say swapping the pulley and tuning the Z06 would be an easy change, too. Dodge doesn't sell the car with sticky tires (for whatever reason) anymore that GM sells the Z06 with more boost.

all of this talk about the ZL1 vs the Hellcat. Don't forget about this comparison.

the outgoing ZL1 and the Hellcat are evenly matched in the real world. So subtract 200 lbs and add more power to the ZL1 and it sounds like the Hellcat will be bested by the Z. But only time will tell.
