I have a 2LT, M6, V6. I -prefer- sport mode, but not because of any felt difference in the way it shifts or how the clutch feels. I can shift fine in any mode. I also have NPP, and just like to hear the sound.

Nothing changes with the clutch/shifting in the manual. The thing is that the throttle feels more sensitive (to me) in sport than it does in Tour.

Agreed. I think the throttle sensitivity is one of the things that changes. I actually like it, since it makes heal-toe shifting easier (for me).

I am still working on finding that middle ground between stalling and slipping the clutch more than necessary to get rolling. Seems much easier in tour than sport.

Yeah, that's tricky. One thing that allows me to do it without revving the throttle is to modulate the -clutch- and hold the throttle steady.

* clutch to floor, 1200 rpm (say)
* ease clutch out, wait for clutch to bite, rpm to sag
* momentarily push clutch in, rpms rise, CAR STARTS TO MOVE
* ease clutch out (with vehicle moving) hold rpm constant.

It's much easier to do than list... mostly I think of it as "bumping" the clutch to the car moving a bit, and then let the clutch all the way out. My rpms never rise, never sounds like I revved it up to compensate for the clutch coming out. It's not a violent bump either, it's just enough to get the car to move.

Yeah I'm always on sport mode and I hate that 0-10 MPH range lol.. I have improved a little with time though. Kinda know where the sweet spot is now most of the time.

Guys, there is no throttle map difference between tour and sport.

None.

Zip.

Zilch.

Nada.

It's the same. What you are experiencing is the placebo effect.

I agree ^. I thought I felt a slight delay in throttle response in tour. Easing into 1st feels a little different. I switched between tour and sport for a few days but I like sport better.

can i just add that the type of shoes you wear play a part in feeling the clutch bite and feeling how much throttle youre giving without having to look at the rpms.. i just recently realized this myself. the more well fit the shoes with a less rubbery sole or stiffer sole the better youll be able to feel.

First off, welcome to the forum! See the link that I posted earlier in this thread. It shows exactly what changes between the different modes. The exhaust is different between sport and track.
