What's with the over 700hp rumor?

That can't be right, I guess we'll see soon enough, I'm guessing
it will have a 640hp LT4 just like the CTS-V.

It will follow suite as the 5th Gen did and have a tad bit more than the CTS-V (580 to 556). Look for the '17 Z06 Vette to gain some HP too so the ZL1 will still be 2nd in the GM HP chain but still be able to come in at 650+.

Imo the vette already has more then enough power. I'd be shocked if they would increase it just to make room for a 650+hp zl1. Plus in the last gen, 580hp was still far shy of the zr1's ls9 638hp, so there was room for a modest increase above the cts v. With all sharing the lt4 now, the game has changed.
