My only concern is the price. I also agree it will be in the $60's, I'm thinking $64K.

I'm thinking 64k as well. Probably won't even know pricing tomorrow just like the 1LE.

I think this will be the ZL1. I am hoping the Z28 will be the LT1 and GM just goes and focuses on light weighting the thing even more and adding the suspension and aero bits.

The Z/28 and Z28 badge has been screwed with enough over it's lifetime. If they can't build a Z/28, then leave it alone. The previous ZL1 didn't come with a track pack, so I don't see this one coming with a track pack either.
right, the one with the slash.

I wonder if many folks balked at the C7 Z06 with FI engine...after all C6 Z06 had the LS7.

I get the desire for NA on the track though - hopefully GM has something in store for that, other than the 1LE, which i'm sure will be awesome track car.

Yeah, Chevy better not squash my dreams

Current ZL1 starts a 57.8K MSRP. I hope base is 61K.

I hope tomorrow we find out that they put in 7speed for the ZL1, that would be tight.

I doubt most people care. They could have made the Z06 a front wheel drive grocery getter and most people wouldn't care.

lol...

why do you say that? Are you saying the following of the corvette is so that it wouldn't matter? or that market share is so small it doesn't matter.

Yes. I think the vast majority of Corvette buyers don't care about history at all.

I think I get it...they are like the snobs of American made cars?

Well, I don't think so, some maybe.

So Bhobbs...

I think the Six 1LE disappointed you, are you thinking maybe the ZL1 will be your next car or you just really set on keeping what you have?

It's not that they are snobs. The C7 Z06 is selling well despite the fact it really isn't a spiritual successor to the C6 Z06.

I was initially disappointed with MRC on the 1LE but Al O said it made the car faster. If that's the case, I can accept it. I still feel like it's an expensive set up knowing that I will never be able to push the car hard enough to make a difference.

I am going to keep my 15 for a while and see what they do with the 6th gen. If the 1LE and Z** are it, then I will probably get a 6th gen 1LE.

I was thinking this too but what I have heard it won't fit in the trans tunnel. Not sure if this is true or not.

7 speed just give you another overdrive gear? I could be wrong.

There is a big difference between the 07 GT500 and the 13. The 12 ZL1 was Chevy's answer to the earlier. Ford one upped Chevy with the 13. I just chose 12 as a starting point for the back and forth

Not saying the LT4 in the ZL1 will make more power than the Z06. I'd just be surprise to see it rated less since 650 HP isn't breaking records in this class.

I expect the gen6 ZL1 to be on par with the Hellcat at the strip and a terror on the track. As you're aware, Chevy tends to marginally match whatever the straight line acceleration benchmark is and excel in chassis balance.

I think the gen6 SS is such a leap over the Mustang because they actually believed Dave Pericak when he claimed the S550 would weigh 200 lbs less than the S197
