Nope. Just spoke to my dealer about the M2 when my current lease is up next month. Long list and you're gonna pay over MSRP for one. I passed very quick. I'm happy because I really want a 2017 Camaro but I'm a sucker and probably would have considered the M2 right away if the price was right.

I'm surprised at the Camaro's front/rear weight distribution. I think that and the narrow front tires created an understeering issue. Based on the superior stats understeer is probably what caused it to be a little slower around the track.

Here it's 45K for a 1SS and 65K for the M4.
I just looked up the M4 and it's $77,868 CDN to start with freight, pdi, etc!!!

bmw going from a v8 in the m3 coupe to 6 cylinder in the m4 was a huge mistake

But the M4 kills the M3 in all metrics. So how big of a mistake was it really?

I disagree. The I6 is so much more streetable and torquey than the V8 was.

No, not really. I don't need a 1LE but the M2 (and m235) just seems so small. M4 prices out of range. BMW: I want to like them; I do. The woman just traded in a z4 for an mx3 or x3m or whatever they want to call it. It is a beautiful car but it just priced about 10k more that I could justify.... As did the former. If prices were equal, it would be a toss up between the M2 and SS but they aren't so, if I buy a car this spring, I will get an SS.

Even the next ZL1 or Z/28 should be well under $81K.

Good job GM.

MT should have listed the correct BASE price, not a 2SS starting price.

The regular SS is over a second quicker than a Mustang GT with the performance pack. Just wait till the SS 1LE comes out, I predict a 1:20.xx...like FOUR seconds quicker then it's direct competitor lol.

Does anyone remember all of the crap spewed by the mustang fanboys saying how the ss was going to suck around a track and be slower than the mustang? The way a lot of them talk they think the mustang is just as fast or faster than an m4..... Great job GM!

I looked close at the M2 also. Its not only price. When the seat is adjusted for a 6'-4" driver, the arm rest ends at your forearm and the b pillar is just aft of your ear. With 0 to 60 mph of 4.4 sec.

Cost was
$51,700 MSRP base
$500 ---metalic paint
$1,250 -executive package (heated seats/steering wheel)
$2,900 -DCT (auto Trans)

Camaro is more comfortable, performs better and costs less. Also consider higher maintenance cost of BMW. Camaro is a better value and a better car.

At the end of the H2H they said the only negatives of the SS were the bow tie and Camaro tag. GM appears to be trying to move up market. Keep building cars like this and perceptions will change. The professional reviewers see it so

The price difference is crazy shows how much of a performance bargain the Camaro really is!

wouldn't take much to edge out the m4 on the track slight suspension mod different tires maybe? So close it would be a drivers race for sure!

Still rather save the money buy a Camaro and buy a used bmw with the money left over for a winter beater!
