No valet for me. I'd rather park it myself and walk a block before I would let a valet driver drive and park my brand new camaro.

I know what you're worried about though because I've seen all the stuff on youtube that they do to Corvettes, M4's, etc. For me I would take everything in account before just saying no. If you plan on DD your car, it's going to get scratched. I hated the person I became when I got a brand new black car and hope he never comes out again...it was embarrassing.

agreed...just a car, I'll let them valet.

So??? Mine is a $50K vehicle that I own and bust my butt off to keep it nice and take care of it, like everything else I own. I am not lazy, I can park my own car and walk. Plus I know that nobody is beating the crap out of it!

Because cars parked by the owner in parking lots, side lots, parallel parked or otherwise left in public spaces never get damaged?

As I stated earlier. I've had more damage done to my car by John Q Public in a general lot, side lot, side street, etc. than ever when it's been Valet.

I wouldn't trust every Valet, but I wouldn't say they're all bad and abusive.

You think your dealer porters are always nice with your cars? I personally watched a porter cause my clutch to smoke when attempting to pull my 2010 Camaro SS around from the service bay.

If you take a moment and talk to the person parking your car, tip them or be nice/friendly to them, I've found they're less likely to mess with your sh*t. Treating them like a human being tends to go a long way.

You're welcome to try. It's not a rare collectors item or fragile museum piece. It's a mass produced muscle/sports car. I also said that i would consider all factors and no just say yes or no. You can't babysit your car every minute of the day for its entire life. Cars are even abused by dealership employees. I wonder what you do in that situation? Do I need to remind you of the famous ZL1 story last year?

I've valet parked my C7 numerous times...as stated above it's a car, not a museum piece.

NO VALET! EVER! The last time someone valet parked one of our cars, they did 1500$ worth of damage to it. Wheel/Tire and fix lower shroud! Only reason we got it fixed was that my wife is a manager at the hospital, and was having her car valeted since she was going in for a treatment.

Let me start by saying I don't even have a camaro yet but with my car I typically don't valet just because I don't like valet and would rather park myself. That being said at some places you don't really have a choice and if that is the case I let them valet it. However I would also probably just go in our other automatic car.

No valet, and I would just take another car anyway. It will probably be crowded and some dipstick will probably open his door into your new car. Leave it in the garage and take the beater car is my advice.
