Looks like a hot air intake, sucking in hot under hood air will hurt performance.

RotoFab will be out soon and Airaid wont be far behind, both have cars in the shop and are doing final flow testing on the prototypes. The race is on to see who comes to market first.

I read somewhere that a dealer had to install it and the tune. Do you know if that's untrue?

The tune with warranty will make the GM piece attractive.

Much appreciated it! I did the same but still no info released yet. I am sure info on this at least will be available sooner than later, I hope at least!

Ok everybody, it took a little while but I have some information on the GM GEN6 Camaro CAI.

There is going to be 2 options to choose from and they will include tuning. The tuning will be done by your local GM dealership and the tuning will be included in the price of the CAI.

Option 1:
LT1 Air Intake - 37 state legal with calibration

Option 2:
LT1 Air Intake - CARB 50 state legal with calibration

The single part number that is in the current 2016 GM performance parts catalog is going to be obsoleted by 2 new numbers for the 2 options. I do not have the #'s yet but pricing should be very close to what was shown at SEMA/PRI. I am still expecting release of these to be early 2016 so hopefully we will be able to start moving these very soon.

I am keeping an eye out and also trying to get a response on a more concrete date from our contact as well. I will keep everybody up to date.

Why two versions, not just the 50 state? Makes me think the 37 state will be less restrictive?
