OMG your soooooo right. I can't believe it.

Oh wait no I was wrong to say that.

I have no idea where you get that...................unless it's just that funny way some folks like to criticize things.

These two cars having nothing in common other than being coupes.

My dream car right now would be a 2017 SS Sedan built on Alpha with a LT1+M6 or a ATS-V with AWD.
I hope it's AWD too so I feel better about buying the RWD Camaro. The last thing I'd want is an AWD sports car. AWD is completely unnecessary in a sports car unless you're driving a super car that can't be controlled with RWD. It adds weight, cost, and you lose power at each transaxle. Unless this thing plans on competing with the GTR and 911, it doesn't need AWD.

Now, if it does end up having AWD, it'll be competing with the Lexus RCF and the Audi A and S5 - which means it'll be heavy (luxury vs. sport) and have so many nannies that it'll be driving for you. I guarantee you won't be able to override any of the shift points, just like in the those other cars. I've also yet to see an AWD transmission in any American or "attainable" foreign car that's rated to withstand the amount of torque this car would need in order for it to be anything more than a looker.

This car will be for people who want to think they're driving a sports car because it looks cool...people who are fooled by manufacturer's 0-60 times and advertised HP, don't look at weight, consider gas mileage, and don't know understand torque. No thanks, I'm glad I ordered a Camaro.

Japanese?
No way.

This car has the signature American-style coke bottle, fuselage styling (in both plan & elevation) that the American manufacturers perfected during the 1960s, the heyday of American car styling.

Tesla look to the front. Merc AMG GT look in the rear. Audi S5 size. I like it. Although I have my doubts that it will look much like this in production form. I certainly don't see it ever having an LT1, RWD, or Manual Trans. However if it did for about $55,000, I think it would be the perfect american grand touring car for me! A little more grown up feel to it than a camaro would.

BUT

I'm not acting like a grown up yet and I WANT A DAMN 2017 CAMARO 1LE!!!

It's RWD...."essentially an ATS-V with less power"

I hope it stays that way in production form. RWD or AWD with a longitudinally mounted engine. I suppose I would be able to tolerate the 8-speed auto for the type of car it is. Definitely interested in seeing how this pans out.

It's beautiful, but should of, could of, would of. I say let's enjoy our new 2016 Camaro. At least it's a GM product.

Very good looking car..hopefully if it does go into production it won't stray too far from this. I know it's been said the exterior is essentially production ready.

Obviously the interior is 100% concept, but I would like to see the same design elements carry forward into a production car...much like how the 2006 Camaro concept interior did provide the design layout for the 2010 production version.
