They CAN take away allocations and make the dealerships life not so easy or even if they piss Chevy off, they can pull their license away from the dealership and cannot sell any Chevy'... Worse case. Chevy just need to be aware of it. They do not get on google and search who is doing ADM BUT once you bring it to their attention, is all they ask.

Thank YOU Turk, for this.
I am going to see my dealership and ask him if they do indeed have the invoice and if I can see it. I am already prepared for them to tell me that they are not allowed to show it to me. I guess if they say this to me, I walk. What do you think?

what has worked for me on every new car and new motorcycle I have bought is to come up with a total price you are happy paying including your sales tax and I don't ask the dealer for a price, I tell the dealer this is the total and only amount I will write a check for in exchange for the new car when I pick it up. He can arrange and rearrange and etc. the figures all he wants to make his company happy in the paperwork but the bottom line for me and I walk in with a check already made out for that amount at closing and is going to be the figure I give him. No exceptions. No dealer fees, no doc fees, no legal fees, no NOTHING!!! Dealer pays a lot less for the car than invoice price with the dealer incentives, dealer kickback payments, etc. etc. figured in so they can sell below invoice and make a profit. I will be buying a 1SS with Garnet Red color extra cost and with destination charges and at invoice price it comes to $36,202 total. My offer to them is going to be $35,500 plus tax out the door, write one check for that amount, to me. I don't expect to get it at that price on first visit, but after I walk out of the showroom when they say no and they call me back a few times wanting to sell me the car ,I will get it at that price. Has always worked. Most I waited was 2 months on a new Suzuki 109R motorcycle for them to make that final call back to me for my price of an even $12,000 including tax, title, and out the door when it was the end of the month and they hadn't made the sales quota for that month and needed to move one more bike. Usually little more than 2 weeks has gotten the deals done on cars. I knew the dealer kick back alone was $1000 for each bike they sold so they still made money selling it to me at well under invoice price. If you wait until closing to come up with a final total price, they always try to slide some type of extra charge in on you. Can't happen if you do the final price up front.

Maybe it's just me but $50,000 is too much for a SS regardless of options.

Look at it this way. A BMW 435i with only 300hp STARTS at $48,150. Start ticking the options boxes and you're easily nearing $60k.

Now that the Camaro actually has a nice interior with all the latest technology, with the performance you get it is still considered by some to be a bargain.

No you can't, but $50k with pretty much every option ticked could be done with a '15 too.

My 328i had an MSRP of $50k, and that's a turbo 4. Mine was still missing quite a few options too. Crazy I know.

Damn these things are expensive.

Oh, I was a 10/19'er, got an ETA today of 12/01, so I am assuming it is finally on its way to Texas.

Smoke em if you got em!

Congrats!! Those options do add up.

Easy, just shop the dealers advertising on the Corvette Forums or any of the other dealers that don't advertise on there but leave threads in the forum or are listed by corvette owners as good place to buy. Paid $48,000 for the C7 sitting in my driveway right now. They will discount several thousand off of MSRP.

That's still a steal, especially new. Are you sure this is not some exception to the rule?

All new, used, and cpo on autotrader start at 57k

Listen I get it the performance has gotten better but the problem it's still just a SS Camaro. The problem is as a SS there is nothing unique about the car to hold the value up. In a few months there will be thousands of these sitting on dealer lots and the heavy discounting will begin. Your 50k investment will drop by 1/3 in the first year I suspect.

If you are going to drop 50k grab a GT350, or the black friday ZL1 or Z/28. The uniqueness of these vehicles will maintain the value. Look no further than the Boss mustangs which are still holding approx 85-90% of their original value. How is a 2013 SS or GT doing?
