Question Where are the steering wheel controls for music?

Where they used to be in the 5th gen, it seems like it now has controls to navigate the in-dash menu. I remember when pics of the steering wheel first surfaced, that's what I looked for, and I don't recall seeing them.

Is there still something there (on the steering wheel) to adjust the volume and switch songs? Those are the absolute most-used buttons on the steering wheel in all of my past few cars.

(In a Dodge Challenger I drove for a day, they were on the back of the steering wheel... I disliked that very much as it was awkward and difficult to get used to)

They are on the bottom left and right of the steering wheel in the back. The volume is on the right side and up/down for stations and songs is on the left.

Quick image for reference. Looks like they are illuminated, too.

The least used are the cruise controls. And they put them on the wheel.

It should have been radio controls on the wheel and cruise under the wheel.

I think it's personal preference. I use the cruise often when I'm driving. The stereo, though is often set-it-and-forget-it. Unless tay-tay comes on. Then I crank it.

Cause the haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate.

Depends on who you talk to. For me, after the turn signal, the cruise control is the second most used function in the vehicle.

Me too, it actually feels weird to have them behind the steering wheel, took a little getting used to on my C7.
In the end it is personal preference and what you use the most like some have mentioned.

Yes I use cruise far more than the radio controls. Within a thumbs reach from normal hand placement on either side of the wheel is the proper placement for cruise control.

GM did it right.

I don't think I've used cruise control on any of my cars in about 20 years, no joke. And I do a lot of highway driving. I just don't like the disconnected feel, and I tend to move my feet away from the pedals when using it. Just not a fan of it...

In my 2ss you can change the drivers dash screen to music mode on use the arrows on the right side of the wheel and not use the little paddle things behind the wheel. only in the music mode though.

I'm exactly the opposite. I've had cruise on every car I've ever driven, my parents first car with it was their '79 Buick Regal. I use it even going down 40 mph local streets if it's straight and little traffic. Love it and cannot imagine driving without it.

I know what you mean, I had that 'disconnected' sensation when I first drove a car with adaptive cruise. I'd hover my foot over the brake pedal because I wasn't sure if the car would slow down enough, fast enough. That 'disconnected' feeling went away though, after a while.

I feel that way when I'm not wearing a seatbelt, strangely enough. Like i'm not tied down, so somehow i don't feel the vibrations of the road as much, etc.
