We have a drag strip here (Bandimere) as well as a couple of tracks, the one kinda by me is "High Plains Raceway."

The crappy thing though is our high altitude. It really sucks the power, especially for NA cars.

I don't even know what my Camaro feels like at sea level. Altitude calculator says that my 426 horsepower Camaro LS3 has around 310 engine horsepower at my altitude.

Yep, I plan to drive there next summer. Question, though, how much normally does it cost for a track day?

This is what High Plains has to say:

For participants who do not register and pay in advance the cost is $180 for a full day and $120 for a half day, payable at the track.

Seems reasonable, but I have no idea?

Come down to Socal lots of tracks and the DA is good.

I go with a group of approx 30..and pay $225.

The other expenses are ...brakes, tires and fuel...
