That is scary given that my camaro is going to cost $10,000 more than a 1LT.

Sounds like I'll have to keep this car until it's wheels fall off. I had read that optioning out a car is a bad idea because it's value will be equal to that of a non-optioned car when sold used.

I am trading my 2014 2SS/RS(don't owe anything on it), to my dealer for $28,500 but it does have a little over 50K miles on it because I did a lot of daily driving and traveling in it which I don't plan to do with my new one. I hope to put less than 15K on it a year(which is what's normal I know), since I have other vehicles I can drive at my house. My new 2SS is going to be about $54,242 with tax according to what my dealer came up with(I got all the options pretty much, plus some stuff the dealership is helping me get done once my car arrives). I live in AR and only have to pay sales tax on the difference between the trade in and my new car. KBB estimated less than what the dealer is giving me for my car, so I took it. This is the 3rd camaro I've purchased with them.

Good info. I have a '14 2SS/RS with sunroof, npp, and nav. Well, the spectrum lighting option too, but I'm guessing they won't really care about that.

With only 14k miles, I was hoping for $30k trade in.

That seems a little high, but what all are you having done?! I have pretty much the same options as you, though I got sunroof ($900) & bowtie ($350) & floor mats ($150) & cargo net ($60) and I did not get nav ($500), LPO wheels ($2k) and 6-piston brake upgrade ($3.2k)).

I'm planning on paying ~$45,500 after delivery, tax, title, license. I'll spend about $800 getting paint repair, a ceramic quartz coating applied to all exterior surfaces, another and $150 for window tint.

Then my dealers shop is gonna paint my spoiler and side mirrors black for me, black out the tail lights, and match the back 4 piston color to the front 6 pistons.. I think they said about $800 for all that.
Then my sales tax should be about $1,700

So i guess it adds up..I planned on being under 50K out the door but I really wanted to include everything I wanted since I'll be keeping this one a while.

Well, I think it is absolutely awesome your dealer can do that stuff for you, will they include the extra stuff in financing?

Yes they are including everything in financing for me, if I want to do it that way.

That will depend on the dealership. I was going to trade in my GTO (LT's, cam, intake, etc.). Dealership had no issue. However, they were not offering me anything above any other GTO in similar condition.

Trading in my 2014 2SS w/RS, 17,000 km... have had trade offers from different dealers between 28,000-32,000... got depreciation hurts like a bitch!
