SSport16: That was me. The server Becky and the good folks at Chevrolet Customer Service updates overnight and therefore the previous day activity can be seen the next morning around 8AM or 9AM. But GM uses multiple servers, and the ones update throughout the day have limited access. Basically, a dealer can look at their own order during the day, that info is downloaded overnight, and Becky etc. can view it the next day.

The server Becky accesses for us also shows status updates for all of GM's vehicle manufacturing plants, not just Chevrolet.

Complicated? Of course. We ARE talking GM, are we not?

Becky,

I just checked in with my dealer so as not to be a stranger, and the ordering fellow told me to be aware that my car being an early build might not ship with an invoice. He said that he's seen new model builds have to sit up to two weeks because of the delay with invoicing from the factory. He said in that case, the car would ship with a blank window sticker. Do you have any experience with any such issue? He promised if it happens that he would keep it locked in the showroom, but like another forum user, I don't want a "million asses in my car!"

Holy crap! I'd go insane if this was the case! Maybe you can give the dealer some good faith money so they will let you keep it after its delivered, if this happens?

edit: I posted your story in the Million Asses thread, as I hadn't even considered this possible delay.

It can occur...but it will not be weeks...
It may arrive 1 - 2 days before MSRP label can be attached(required by law)
The most recent was Z06..when the 1st arrived..invoice / MSRP arrived the next day.

BTW: Pricing is there....your dealer doesn't know how to find it.

Once shipping flow begins...
invoices are automatic & completed BEFORE shipping

The flow is:

I dont think invoice prices are suppose to be shared and are suppose to remain internal. If you search hard enough outside of this form you will find them.
