Ok, I think you're just bein' a bitch here, but if you are serious, I apologize and would like to say that bigger brakes would do the opposite to address the problem of burning up brakes while doing brakestand burnouts. Bigger rear brakes would provide more stopping power, i.e. less brakestanding capability, and thus more power would be required, heating up the rear rotors and pads quicker.

The line lock device is what makes it so your front brakes stay locked while your rears have no pressure. This means you aren't causing any heat on the pads and rear rotors, but you're still able to "stand" still, via the front brakes.

Thanks for the name calling. That is mature. I may can see using a line lock for drag racing, but for burnouts...Just don't get it. I have drag raced and raced on track. I don't need a line lock to have a great reaction time. I can do that myself. Maybe I just see the utility of a car as more than getting out and burning tires to show that I have a great car. Maybe that's the difference between being mature and not. Just saying based on your name calling, looks like you need a line lock to show off. I would rather see someone take care of their car, treat their car with respect, and use them for the purpose built machines they are.

While I agree the name calling wasn't needed, your continuous posts about how you think it is immature to have a line lock is not any better. It's as if you have a superiority complex and you consider yourself so much better than the OP. I would argue line lock is about as useful as a differential cooler or 6 piston brakes...for the average driver. The average driver is not going to track his car or use drag tires at the strip. I do agree with you about using it for burnouts being crazy. Because unless you are doing burnout competitions I don't think the car will have any trouble lighting the tires without it. But no one asked for our opinions.

This thread is not about whether or not line lock is useful. The OP wanted input on experience with using it. So please quit trying to sell your opinion. If you want to convince everyone why line locks are dumb, make a thread for it by all means.

Hmm, well I'm not sure if you meant to reply to me or not, but I did no name calling, sorry if it seemed that way, I simply call it as I see it.

That being said, it's obvious now that you really have have no interest in cars or discussing why line locks save the brakes and why a car with larger rear brakes would have a harder time doing a brake stand.

So, I'm done with this conversation with you, and to any others considering replying to this person...

Have a nice day.

good for you!!!!

Just don't force your opinion on others.your a good driver, good for you; im not so I could use something like line lock.just because you like to track your car and be "serious" doesn't make people like me who love to burnout and go sideways idiots or amateur drivers.

thank you

I agree, the only true burnout is a no brakes burnout, check out the video on the edmunds website way back in 2010 with a 5 th gen camaro, 2011 mustang and challenger rt, the camaro had the tomatoes to keep it going in second for 150 of glory, the 6th gen should even be more animalistic with much more low end torque

Can you explain more about the low end torque???I don't get it.i thought the more torque you have the more wheelspin you get.

Yes, the more torque you have the easier the tires will spin, search the Internet for c7 LT1 torque curve. It shows the torque and horsepower as a function of rpm. The LT1 has 50 more ft-lbs than the LS3 between 2 and 4k rpm. I meant to imply it is good
