The dealer is ordering my spec'd 1SS this week and even he didn't have a price on that option. Has anyone had any luck finding out the cost of the front Brembos?

Not yet, but the 2015 6 pistons are almost $5K....not worth that in my opion, the 4 pistion Brembos will be good enough for me.

And the 6 piston brakes are a dealer installed option? If that's the case, I may just wait for the 1LE

Yes they are dealer installed, no factory installed option.

Agreed. Unless you track your Camaro often, I think the optional brakes are overkill.

The ZL1 front 6-piston Brembo MSRPs for $4150. Some retailers are selling it for as low as $3117.

Some places even sell the equivalent kit in yellow (with Cadillac V logo) for as low as $1979

You can even build your own brakes package from part numbers, and end up paying less.

Now you might notice that every one of the kits I mentioned comes with new, larger rotors. If the 2016 6-pistons fit on the same rotors as the 4-pistons, then it might even be a little less than that.

That being said, I still opted to not get the 6-pistons on my order. If the pricing sucks, I'll build from part numbers. If the pricing is great, I can still order it through dealer accessories.

Yes they are...you can always add them later on, or like stated above, there are cheaper kits as well. Those are massive brakes, the 4 piston Brembos will be more than enough for me.
