I doubt you will have much leverage pre-ordering without knowing the prices. I would never do it. I am interested to see how this turns out.

Answering the question regarding timing of Pricing Plan availability, it seems to me the plans become available about the time Build Your Own with Pricing can be seen on the Chevrolet site. This is anecdotal based on my memory. It takes an amount of time for the GM Program Pricing sites to catch up, but that is not of consequence. Based on this, the availability would be related to local dealer inventory: Program Pricing waits until dealers have stock on hand just as Build Your Own with Pricing does.

Is that for the Cruze Limited as not even its 2016 Order Guide is posted.

The Limited is intended for fleet and rentals.

Otherwise, it would appear so.

I notice the 2016 Cruze was scheduled to srart production June 15. So perhaps not an exception.

I also noticed the CTS-V start has been pushed back a week to August 10 from August 3. Does anyone know if the ATS-V has started regular production? It has already been pushed back from the now long past June 1.

After some soul searching and feedback from posters here, I too have decided to wait. Too many unanswered questions and I am not wild about committing to a sale without prices. I am also not wild about the lack of knowledge at the dealerships. When I recently went into the dealership, I knew more about the 2016's than they did including the sales manager. That alone was a red flag to me. I also want to use the GM Family First discount (employee pricing) and that may not be offered for a while. At least not until dealer preorders are filled and there is some inventory on dealer lots. That is just a guess but still another unanswered question.

Well unfortunately most dealers are like this, including mine where I already ordered from. I ordered directly from the sales manager, he was clueless and I have been filling him on everything, he just listens to his GM reps that tell him the wrong info. I highly doubt that will change dramatically, even after the cars have been built and are on their lots. I have bought vehicles from this same dealers on the lot that were out for some time and the sales people were completely clueless, didn't even have specs and facts about the vehicle correct, unfortunately this is the norm and doesn't really phase me, just make sure you have the information you need from awesome places like this forum!

I learned long ago to expect I would know more about what ever car I was pre-ordering than the salesperson. There are exceptions (do I sound like a broken record) and for the Camaro that would be BeckyD who does status updates in the stickied thread above. She will also answer any questions you may have about the Camaro ordering process if you put them in that thread.
