If that's correct, thank you Chevy!
The LT automatic models were the only ones not getting limited slip diff. All SS models were getting it...no question.

Really sucks for the V6 and I4 crowd. We balked at the open diff on the automatic on the 5th gen. I guess GM didn't hear that complaint.

At least it's not like Dodge where the RT has an open diff. And that's a V8.

Man I really wish pricing would just come out already. That way I can get a definite picture of how much more or less a Camaro 2SS will cost over a Challenger Scat Pack

Dual mode right now is $895 on the 5th gen, except it to be pretty similar, MRC should be a little cheaper than the Vette on the 6th gen, probably $200 less.
Its a completely new trans, expect a big price increase.

Honestly, with the same set of pricing options, I'd bet their near the same. The Scat comes with cloth, and it's a $1500 option. Add in the tech package for a few of the goodies that come with the 2SS, and I'd say they are pretty close. Hopefully Chevy keeps the A8 price down as low as possible. I'd be willing to pay $1-2k more for an optioned 2SS over the Dodge if I wasn't in the market for a convertible.

That said, still have to test drive the SS, as I've had 3 test drives so far in the Dodge, and it is absolutely something I could use a DD around here! Lot's of smiles! (Stlil want the vert tho!)

A6 was $1350 on the 2014 C7, $1795 now with the A8. I would expect the price to be similar for the Camaro, maybe a bit less since the transmission is getting shared more now.

I would expect the pricing to be comparable to the new 392 Scat Pack Shaker package. Around 45k and you get full leather interior not leather and suede. 1ss will comparable to plain Scat Pack in pricing and options

I really freaking hope not!

A base Auto Scat Pack has a MSRP of 39,000.

If Chevy is stupid enough to put the 1SS at 40,000.. they deserve to lose the sales war. A base 2015 Auto GT is 34,000 and change

The A8 is the new standard now, pretty much. It is being spread out across a lot of 2016 GM vehicles, I doubt it will that much more than the current A6

We can only hope. The more cars that get the A8 the lower the production cost goes for GM. But the main question is... are they willing to pass that savings on to the consumer just yet.

$1.1 Billion in profits tell me they might be willing

I really can't imagine them increasing the price for the auto too much than it currently is on the '15's, more gears should not mean more money for the 6th gen.
