There were numerous opportunities to give out the real nature of this Vegas affair in advance, yet there was nothing...

This description of it being confidential and no public info allowed had been made known sooner, this thread would probably never have existed....
It is Chevrolets calendar not ours.

They already revealed the car guys, 95% is known

I know I'm not an expert, but when someone mentioned there would be other "unrevealed" cars at the show, I understood the blackout and figured we would not hear/see anything from the event.

And I wanna see what's in hanger #51

you think the lights being released wasn't some internet marketing plan and this was some oopsie? We were given the schedule just as we were given the lights.

I am with 90503, handled really poorly. Have gone from I can't wait to get a new camaro for DD so I can gut my 5th gen and keep the kids out of my Nova. To the now feeling of this has been handled poorly and I should just buy a Chevy II wagon to rebuild for my girlfriend. General Motors is pissing off its OWN car guys. They didn't have to sell me on performance they had to not mess up the sale with the delivery...

Waited almost a decade for the 5th gen, it's not a patience thing.

So you are the type the thinks the moon landing was fake, JFK was killed by a magic bullet, and diet coke really tastes just like regular coke?

I mean really there are no elaborate conspiracies. People are human and make mistakes. A couple forum members ended up with 6th gen bumpers, someone puts 6th gen lights on ebay thinking they are for a 5th gen, and the playbook was leaked b/c we have dealers on this forum who are enthusiasts like us. Case solved. This is the information age, secrets are hard to keep period.

what i've learned from this thread is some people just like to complain for the sake of it.....I'm not sure how you expected GM to handle this, it was an internal only event that we only knew about because an internal only document got out to us

Just for the record, I find it ironic the only chastising going on around here is for inquiries about this dealer-meeting....The knowledge of which only came about from an internal brochure which was not supposed to be for our eyes....Yet that very Playbook has been given the honor of being make a sticky on this very forum....and none of the posts or questions in that thread were told, "Hey, you are not even supposed to be looking at this! What are you, some sort of complainer?"....

For some reason the banner of doing what is right is only an issue over a misunderstanding of the nature of a known Camaro event, and after the fact at that.
Look at the posts from the start of this thread and even from a few attending, and tell me we weren't going to maybe get a few pics or tid-bits of info....Then suddenly this event turned into the sacred cow of GM....

The Playbook, the leaked photos, tweets and videos about the convertible all getting rave revues and no righteous indignation about their exposure...

So think twice before you decide to try and bear some banner of credibility and tell others what is right and wrong.

The big ole pink elephant in the room is that with the way things work today, you tell someone something's a secret the whole world will know everything and then some about it in 30 seconds.

I mean, we know about certain emails at the highest levels of the American government. Who the hell is General Motors?

Perhaps GM needs to adjust to the year 2015 in certain aspects.

Adjust how exactly?

The headlamp and fascia deal will just have GM clamp down more on the suppliers. GM wields a heavy hammer when future business is threatened for security.

And it's a game. This time around we saw pics from drones which hasn't been an issue before.

But there is no compelling reason for GM to do anything different.
