When the Gen 5 came out, it took Chevy 3 years to make the 1LE package available for the SS! I'm not sure that they will have a 1LE right away. With the benchmark that Chevy has made with the 1LE, it has to be right. That takes time with R&D. Look how long Ford is developing the GT350. I feel that the SS itself will be a better car.

I gotta confess, my curiosity got the best of me....and I had to take a peek...lol...

It's not a pretty picture....some pretty tasteless posts, actually....I do feel sorry for a few that try to keep it civil and are open-minded. I noticed some who were positive about the Camaro....but they always seem to get stepped on by you-know-who and a few others...

Anyways here's a link for the rest of you closet peepers...lol...

P.S. Add me to the apologizers for going off-track on this thread, but it seemed like the best time....

The yellow is a bit wonky.

This background image is a wallpaper file for which I couldn't find the original or the photographer to give credit.
I like this yellow render even if it is wonky, go figure, nice work Chazcron

Wish I could re-render the yellow one with the newly elongated front end.

The only reason it won't be available day one is if the SS can out run it. Meaning a 2016 SS has better track performance than the current 1LE.

If that is the case, I feel badly for the Mustang...........errr I mean feel even more badly for the Mustang.

Otherwise, I expect something straight away. Z/28 has to follow much sooner however and I expect that to essentially be a ATS/CTS-V with the addition of the CC brakes and track taahhrrs.

I still don't think the renders have the rear quarter glass just right. I think there is less pointiness to the front and I suspect the area of the fender behind the headlamp and in front of the wheel opening will be just a bit smoother.

But otherwise the renders are certainly awesome and I suspect quite close to real deal.

Completely unretouched, but before elongating the hood. Uploaded on the road from a render I had forgotten to work up after a request for a higher-angled front shot.

I agree, it was interesting to see a current 1LE and Gen 6 running at the ring.

Turns out I can, sorta.

I may have pushed it out too far, time will tell, but it radically changes the look.

After, and before
