I think you guys will enjoy this. This was posted on another forum I belong too. I wanted to post in the thread but the thread was closed so I put this here for your entertainment.

"And you do realize the acceleration of the sonic is on par with the average non performance car. Oldsmobile 88, Chrysler Sebring, Silverado, V6 Camaro, Camry, Malibu all have similar 0-60 and 1/4mi times....... So yea pretty average."

In what world is the acceleration the same? Ohhhh and is he saying the V6 Camaro is an non performance car?

Edit: Jason just informed me that he is talking about the 4th gen. I still would hope a 4th Gen would be able a beat a Sonic.

Yeah, as long as we stay in Vegas she will be fine lowered. But if we move back east, then she will have to be raised again.

Right now the only thing I'm worried about if I lower my car is getting into the trailer. We haven't done a test fit so I am not sure what my clearance is

That is my concern too. Because down the road once all 3 are paid off, we are getting a truck and trailer for Jewels and I worried she wont make the ramp.

It handles like a champ! I'll have to mess with the hardness/softness settings a bit but so far I like plus lost 19lbs off the car haha

Well as for the ramp and trailer, you can always fab some extra approach shoring to decrease the angle and make it up the ramp. We have to do this for certain vehicles when loading to aircraft

, looks good though! If anything, I'd leave the front where it is, and raise the rear just slightly. The rear looks lower than the front.

Oh and watch out for speed bumps now with those headers!

4th gen V6's are pretty (awfully, horribly) slow. The 3.4L had 160hp and did 0-60mph in about 9 seconds, and the 1/4 mile in 16.4 - 16.7 secs. The updated 3.8L engine was slightly better: 200hp, 0-60 mph in 8.6 s, 1/4 mile in high 15's.

I had a 95 Camaro V6 (with the 3.4 L engine) for my first vehicle. After driving my 5th gen for the past 4 years, I'm gonna have to go home and see how it'll feel to drive the 4th gen, lol.

I just never heard anyone compare a Camaro to Sonic. They are not even close to being the same car.

I agree, they're completely different animals.

I'd leave it. I'm looking into coilovers for the future because I want to lower mine more

I am pretty sure I can get my Cruze Eco (Which is the same engine as the Sonic) down to 8.1-8.5 for 0-60, assuming I don't mess up a shift. I know I have already gotten bellow 9 seconds with it and motortrend got a 8.1 out of a cruze eco manual.

Lol, no way I could lower mine any more. If I were to change my suspension again, I'd go with an air ride system. It'd make going over speed bumps a breeze.
