It is. That looks more like 1.5-1.7 inches. Doesn't look like you left any gap at all in that pic

U should do it. I was scared too. Actually put it off for as long as I could. But Honestly I think that it looks a lot better handles better and I havent had any issues yet. My clearance to enter my driveway was like less than 1'' so I thought for sure after the drop I would drag the bottom of the splitter. however, that hasnt happened yet!
