Maybe insurance rates have come down since then, I was 18 in 1992 I bought a new Trans Am in 95, I was 21 at that time and I was still paying a bit over $724 for a 6 month period and my insurance really didnt get the big time drop until 25. Then it was $390 a year.
Wow, and money was worth way more back then! I guess I still need to count my blessings!

Good luck, hope it works out for you.

Insurance can be a pain, but you do have to pay. And in a situation like yours, (having an accident) it sure is a good thing.

Hope the best for you comes to be.

Jim

Please don't take this the wrong way. I think you should pray you didn't get hurt or the other people in the car didn't get hurt. More prayers need to be answered before praying for your insurance doesn't go up. More important things in life.

20 years old and i pay $1100 a year for my 1LS without an accident or ticket on my record. my 2010 impreza was $700 a year though so i mean to be able to drive a 2013 camaro for $400 more a year i guess ill take it. sucks that now a days insurance companies can spin it off to your fault even when its not.

I agree with you, as a normal human being, it is one of my flaws, not looking at the big picture and being selfish. Thanks for the advice!

Dude thats nothing back in 1987 with a 8 yr old 130 horsepower berlinetta camaro with basic insurance in PA I was paying 3500 a year. You are assigned risk in PA if your under 21 and insurance for a camaro v8 on a male is very expensive till 24 years old.

When I was 16 I was paying about 220 a month for liability! Consider yourself lucky!

Best of luck with getting your car fixed.

Best regards,

your lucky. here in VA you have to notify the insurance company of ANY licensed driver in your home. doesn't even matter if they're related.

Well since the accident wasn't my fault, there's a slight bit of hope that I still won't have to be put on(I have no clue how it works) but if I am put on it, you may want to sit down, I will have to pay $724 every six month period I know that you gotta pay to play, but please hope that this works out for me! Thanks fellas
Good luck with the rate and all that....but....may not apply in your state, but any accident is investigated by the insurance companies....

....Who's at fault may not be as cut and dried all the time like you would think...Even though the other guy blew the stop sign, did you look or slow down anyhow?....How fast were you going? Over the limit?...

Not accusing you of anything, but just sayin' it's probably mostly the other guy's fault, could actually be part yours...10%, 20%...maybe not...

Drive careful, but remember an old saying from any accident..."This driver was in the Right!....Dead Right!..."

I was going 30mph in a 25mph zone, and at the intersection there were parked cars on the right so he couldn't see me and I couldn't see him, and he did a half assed look job and just carelessly pulled out as I was passing through the intersection... Unfortunately there's no way I could've avoided it
