This cop was writing a ticket and the guy tried to leave. The cop blocked his path and the guy contacted the cop with the car. At that point the driver commited assault on the officer. Doesn't matter if he was injured or not. All it takes is contact. I thought he acted a lot more civil than I would have. Then he resisted arrest when the cop told him to get out of the car and wrestled to stay in the car.
You obviously see things a different way and thats fine. I am surprised he didn't get a few nightstick lumps. He deserved it.
+1 Let's analyze: The Officer was writing him a ticket for illegally parking, the driver gets in the car and tries to leave the scene, the Officer tells him to stop and places himself in a position thinking the driver will heed to his instruction "stop and get out of the car", the driver does not and runs over the Officer's foot, the Officer then tries to physically remove the driver from the car while the driver resists, back-up arrives and he's placed in cuffs on the ground. 1. Resisting Arrest 2. Assault on a Police Officer FYI: When an Officer tells you to do something, you follow directions DUMBA$$! I have never been in trouble with the law. Why? I choose not to break laws. If an Officer were to give me instructions, I would NOT ignore them and do the opposite (you're just going to piss them off). This is almost as good as when you're watching COPS and a car chase ensues. When the Police finally catch the suspect they ask, "Why did you run?". 99% of the time, the perp always says, "I was scared!". Scared of what you a$$hole? When you see Police lights pull over. If you DIDN'T do anything wrong, there's nothing to be scared of. Fleeing simply compounds the problem. YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!!!

blindly doing what one is told without question is the purest definition of stupid. there are alot of crooked cops out there, just because they wear a badge does not make them 100% in the right at all times.

Just cause he might look spoiled doesn't mean he is. Could be 100 times smarter than you and have made his own business. Who knows.

I am not a cop lover, nor do I like ferraris or the arrogant people who drive them. That being said I would have taken my gun and broke the side glass then pulled him out. Seems the guy thought he was privelaged to park there because he had a Ferrari. F him.

Like I said...I don't even care for cops, but how many people are stupid enough to attempt to drive off when a cop is writing you a ticket. Once the cop writes the ticket he has to stick it on the windshield. The idiot wanted to ignore it. If you can drive a effing Ferrarri you can pay a $25 ticket. If I was driving a Ferrari and would laugh at the ticket and give the cop a $25 tip and tell him to go buy some drugs just to be a smart ass. Obviously this guy was just fronting and could not afford the car or woud not have been that upset.

if you have the guys info (he is writing a ticket for the vehicle, safe to assume he already has the plate info) and he tries to drive off you let him go and have the judge issue a summons.

Cops was stupid, caused injury to himself and if i was the judge i'd toss the entire mess out and tell the cop to watch his behavior or else he might be on the recieving end of a lawsuit someday.

Not saying the guy with the red car was right (clearly he wasn't) but the cop put himself in harms way then assaulted a civilian.
LOL...I have been to Hagerstown...you know cops don't work like that in Hagerstown. Half the cops in Hagerstown would have been at the seen so no they would not let him drive away.

No doubt.

I actually agree with that. Which makes the kid deserve even MORE what he got. You are exactly right. He should have questioned the cop. But he clearly didn't even attempt to ask.

He didn't question because he knew what the cop was doing because he knew what he did and knew he was wrong.
