I remember a case where a Guy was paralized when he was thrown out of his S-10 Blazer and it rolled over on him in an accident. He was awarded a Million Dollars from GM. He claimed the door flew open and caused him to be thrown out. Witnesses testified that he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and came out the open Window. Officers also testified that he was intoxicated and speeding when the accident occured. Never trust a Jury's judgement in a lawsuit against a big corporation, they tend not to listen to facts.

The GTO was discontinued in 2007 because GM couldn't get it to pass modern safety tests....so before going off on Ford for old-school mistakes, maybe you should share some hatred for GM for mistakes made less than 10 years ago?

Every car company is guilty of hiding SOMETHING fatal in their history. So this really does not affect my opinion of Ford or any other car company.

Some more ethically than others.

Yanno what else is not ethical? Nearly going out of business due to piss poor management and piss poor products like the Aztek and then crawling to the Government's door and asking for a handout like a poor man on a chicago side street.

Ford restructured it's debt among other things to avoid having to beg for help. So you tell me who is being more ethical here?

I love GM and current GM products, but when people act like one company is head and shoulders better than the other, they are flat out wrong.

Please remember that 99% of the people running these companies would take a dump on your chest if it meant a higher bonus for them or higher stock value.

They are all a**holes. The cars themselves are awesome.

Actually Ford didn't beg fr government money because they had already begged most of the automobile industry to support them financially. They owed money to lots of the automotive and technological industry, like Microsoft among others. That's why they now have Microsoft systems interlinked with their radios.

I agree. Never heard of a GTO failing any sort of safety testing. In fact I believe it was up to par with the safest sedans on the market at the time.
I check a bunch of websites and I couldn't find a site showing the GTO safety crash test results... all the site simply said things like "Not Rated" or "Not Tested"...

Which is wayyyy better than taking a government bailout.

But im not here to bash GM, im simply saying every car company has a dark side.

I'd just be happy if they issued one for the Mt-82 in the 11-12s....
