Yes. It's a concept known as "shadow of a leader". As a representative of your family business, you have a responsibility to present an image that is positive for the company. You have no idea who might or might not be a potential client in the future.

Here endeth the lesson.

(Note to self. Do not hire the company that has this guy as its foreman. He spends more time on his android replying to/checking in on internet message forums than he does managing his business/employees.)
Yeah that's us, used to be bigger but this economy is killing us and anyone in our line of work. And as for that last part do you know how anything about my job works im the foreman that means I've put my time in being told what to do now I get to set back tell my crew what to do and make sure it gets done right as long as my crew gets their task finished on time and budget im good and im pretty sure we've already finished 80% of what had to be done today and its just now lunch

Im here as a camaro enthusiast not a business representative when it comes to that I can talk the talk when I need to but I see no reason why that should hold any significance here.

If you are expecting the ZL1's IRS to deliver 1.3-1.4 second sixty foot times like pullied GT500's throw down on stickies then you better start saving up for the COPO Camaro. It doesn't take much at all for a GT500 to run 9's (pulleys, exhaust, 100 shot or larger blower) vs replacing just about everything in a ZL1.

Have you looked into the Body in White program or the COPO if you are worried about having to pull your new ZL1 into your Dad's shop to turn it into a 9 second car.

No you should speak in a professional and educated manner as to not make you look like you're uneducated. We don't need another Nightfall on this site.

First off let me thank you for addressing the point of my post rather than just trying to bash me for no good reason. Beyond that im not really worried about having a 9 second street car as I like to go fast just in something other than a straight line. My whole point was that most of the people getting a ZL1 will modify it and I don't see 650 hp being that hard to attain. So why worry so much about the shelby.

Why would "most" people modify a brand new 580hp car with a warranty?
I think you're far off if you think that "most" people will modify their brand new ZL1's after taking delivery.

Not everyone who buys a ZL1 or any car for tha matter always needs to keep up with the jones's, some people actually don't have self confidence issues that extend to their vehicles.

The ZL1 will be a great car BONE STOCK, the GT500 will be a great car BONE STOCK.
if you want to risk your warranty on either then both comparison bets are off anyway because it's he who has the most money wins.

You don't compare modified cars to off the showroom cars and come out with a "win".
Everyone should know the GT500 engine is built to handle alot of horsepower, the LSA is another thing.

Compare the number of stock to modified cars on this site. and please tell me how customizing ones car makes them insecure?

Modding a car doesn't make you insecure, modding a car for the simple fact that SOMEONE may be faster than you is.
If your sole reason for modding a car is to beat "that guy" then it's something you need to reflect on why you need to beat "that guy" all the time, that thinking goes deeper than cars. At that point it's a self reflection thing, that you always need to win or you can't feel good about yourself, therapy 101.

And that, too. I grew up with GM and Ford vehicles in the household. And I'm far from brand loyal, myself. I've owed from BMW 550i Sport to Subaru Justy DL.

So your trying to say that the same drive to always come out ahead that runs in my family and pulled us up from the slums (where my dad grew up in a house with 3 rooms including the kitchen) and put us where we are now is a bad thing?

I wonder if the big manly men, who supposedly make their own way in life, realize that they're arguing with a kid about the same exact thing they're doing. Terrible thread.

"Us?" Do you still live with your parents? Please see my previous post about standing on your own two feet. You keep talking about your dad's accomplishments. What about your own accomplishments? Why not follow his example and get out on your own and make something of yourself outside of the security blanket of working under daddy. Even working your way up the ladder in the family business, you're still hanging on to daddy's coattails for protection from failure. And if that is how you choose to start your adult life, you're selling yourself short. Get out there and be a man. You can do it!
