The GT500 is notorious for not having good tires for traction. But that was all supposed to change in 2011. Apparently not. I think it goes beyone tires, but no GT500 owner would ever admit to that.

Not happening with the GT500 out trapping the caddy. The GT500 was pulling it in.

A 12.6 in a GT500 is so laughable it isn't even funny.

Yea it goes beyond that. With ~500rwhp anything less than radials and you are going to have traction problems in straight line acceleration tests.

Yeah the Mustang is just going to have to get used to watching it get owned by 2012 Camaro Z/28'S, Corvettes, Cadillac CTS-V's, and Nissan GT-R's lol.

At the track last week 2011 GT500 SVT package 100% stock (I checked) was running 11.7-11.9's with traps 119-121, Motortrend said the car runs a 12.5 1/4 mile but in the article they also talked about the weather conditions effecting the GT500's performance. IF you watch the video closley the guy driving the GT500's 1-2 shift was pitiful. I really hope they z/28 can compete otherwise I may need to get a vette.

Uh, sax, I own a Mustang, so I'm not a brand loyalist. What is and has been painfully evident about the GT500 is that Ford cannot get them to hook up and get traction in stock form. It is like a boat spinning its prop. No matter how much hp you connect it to, it does nothing without hook up.

Apparently, GM has figured this out.

Yes the 12.6 is a joke for that cars potential. Im sure the E.T. was all lost in the first 60'. However the Caddy was holding its own! The only way to see if it was really pulling on it would be taking the time segment from 1000' - quarter mile.

I'm definitely not crazy about the CTS-V Coupe.
