I added ARH 2" headers no cats with their 3" x-pipe into the stock suitcase muffler. To reduce the overall loudness I added 2 short vibrant resonators (one on each side) directly after the header collector using V-band clamps. Along with 2 longer Vibrant resonators just before the muffler also using V-bands. The rest of the slip joints where welded.
While the system doesn't change the amount of pops and crackles the occurrence of them is not all that frequent and exhaust sounds fantastic. It's as quite as the stock system with the valves closed and just slightly louder with them open but with a lower tone. It's a great set up.

OK. So the pops ARE unburnt fuel, damn. I could live with the tone, WITHOUT the pops. But I can't/won't tune it, till out of warranty. Guess I'm kind of stuck with it for now...sad. It seems like my idea of a 3" x-pipe will make it a little deeper tone w/pops. I was looking for deeper & no pops. Also glad I'm not the only one who hates the pops! Thanks everyone for your input & help!
