Well yesterday the LPE high side fuel pump was changed and after putting the car on the dyno my guy called me and said the low side is not reading right. So they dropped the tank and the socks were clogged. While they were in there they suggested changing the twin pumps in the tank so I said why not. They had two walbro 450 pumps to put in there.
We will see if that all gets done and goes back on the dyno and maybe I get to take it home today. Not that I'm going to drive around since it's 11 degrees out with an overnight low of -18 not including the wind chill. It will be nice to have it in the garage and ready to go as soon as it gets warm out instead of doing all this once spring starts. |

Little update, car has been back in my possession for a little while now. After it was all buttoned up and put on the dyno it only put down 765 horsepower, no where near the 889 that Lingenfelter had on their dyno sheet. So a little disappointed in that result but still more power then I have ever had.
It's been running rough at idle, bouncing under a 1000 rpms making me keep my attention on the brake pedal at stop lights. I go back to the shop tomorrow to show the tuner myself. Had P0174 a couple times. Today I found a hose that might be causing that, not sure? I'm bringing that up to him over messenger and in person tomorrow. Car also stutters or gets choppy under full throttle, I don't really know how to explain it. It's a sound from the exhaust and I can fell it too. Here is the video of what I found with the hose today. (ok I can't figure out how to get the video on my phone to post on the site) What's everyone's thoughts on that? Can a vacuum leak be the culprit of P0174 and the rough idle problem? Last edited by Midlife ZL1; 02-06-2026 at 05:31 PM. |

So another trip to the shop, did a transmission tune on it and some more fiddling with the tune and this is what it’s doing. I post a link to the YouTube short.
Reminder we are looking at a car with a new Lingenfelter big bore high pressure fuel pump and it had clogged socks in the tank. While it was down they suggested changing the two pumps since they had some in stock. Did all that and granted it’s cold out and the car has a 160 degree thermostat it’s been driven and tuned a couple times now. After this trip today this is what it sounds like at idle in gear. I placed the phone at the top of the engine bay and got in the car and put it in reverse. The noise it’s making is what it’s doing now. Before today that noise would happen every once in a while for a short time. Now it does it as long as it’s idling in gear until I start driving. Drives fine. I mean I didn’t get on it or anything but just regular driving it’s fine. Kind of embarrassing that the car makes that noise at a stop light. https://youtube.com/shorts/ix81Dhe4d..._f1H6Padn68Afe |

New tires mounted to the new wheels. Not sure the stock lug nuts will work so I am waiting on those and I will need to do the wire harness move before I throw these on the car.
Nitto 555RII for two of the wheels and the other four are RE71RZ's. |

LME valley cover and TooHighPSI valve covers installed.
Brought my car to a new shop to figure out the noise. It was definitely coming from the new fuel pump. Old fuel pump had 4 shims and the new one didn't have any so maybe it was bottoming out. I sold my motorcycle so to celebrate that I bought some "while your in there" parts for the new shop to put on. Also putting on a catch can from mighty mouse that should be here tomorrow. I also ordered a TooHighPSI lid for the 2650 in red. I decided to name the car after my first St Bernard that we had to put down last January. He definitely was my number one guy. His name was Buddy and his trainer gave him the nickname Buddy Love when he was young. So I am naming the car "Buddy Love" and this is what my plates will look like on the supercharger lid. I tried making my own design with chat gpt but it didn't come out clear enough for them to use. Went with a generic St. Bernard design. |

Here is the Image I sent them (and the real picture I used to make it). But this is how it turned out when they tested it.
