2022 2SS 1LE

Everything under warranty unless otherwise specified.

02/2023 @ 10.5k miles - Document for #2 lifter failure, replaced one bank lifters and related items.

07/2023 @ 11k miles - Bought car

09/2023 @ 14k miles - NPP rattle, fixed by tightening exhaust bolt. Replaced 1LE winglet due to misalignment.

12/2023 @ 19.5k miles - Timing cover and oil cooler leak, resealed cover and replaced cooler

01/2025 @ 31k miles - P026C8 CEL - Replaced Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor (PN: 13502903)

05/2025 @ 34.5k miles - P12FD CEL - Replaced “Sticking Internal Exhaust Control Valve Actuator” (PN: 84897442), A10 TCM Recall

07/2025 @ 36k miles - Rear passenger rattle caused by two interior panels vibrating against one another. I hammered the seam until the vibration stopped. Dealerships could not replicate the couple of times I went.

Also did the BCM enhancement a bit after the recall. I’m out of my CPO bumper-bumper when 2025 ended so only the remaining powertrain & CPO powertrain warranty.

And another 1LE wheel entry of course

2022 bought new, now sitting at 80k miles. Just did a 1600-mile trip with ease. Lots of rock chips though, because I drive this thing.

2016 2SS M6 bought in May of 2025 with 24k on it, now at 27k. Changed the oil twice (day after I bought it and right before I put it away for the winter). Replaced the battery a couple months after getting it due to no start. Glad I always keep a jump pack with me. Otherwise it's been flawless and drives great. Obligatory wheel pictures... Louvers are gone since this photo.

Im at 144k

Replaced Torque Converter twice
Replaced Steering Rack

Those are the only major parts I can recall having to replace. Still on the factory water pump, alternator, probably even belt. She still rips too. Tuned for E85, full exhaust and intake, no cam but right at 500whp

I honestly think my car is a freak car because another SS with almost the exact same mods as mine on a similar tune only made 430 to the wheels on the exact same dyno at the same shop.

Love that rear light conversion . Please drop a link to them. If I trade for a 16 17 18 I know I'll want 'em.

Was your car apart of the steering rack recall? I remember there being a few hundred or maybe thousand last I checked. I believe it was specifically only 2017 models that were included on it.

Unfortunately I don't have info for it. It's now a 2 owner car and the original owner was a Chevrolet mechanic and he swapped them. I was supposed to get the originals back but never did but it's okay, I actually prefer these.

In December, 82k miles,I turned engine off and fan ran on high for over 5 minutes. From reading about the lgx I knew it was probably the thermostat. Got AC Delco from Rock Auto $80. Watched videos on YouTube, nobody did it exactly the same. I'm not the best mechanic, but didn't have any problems. Draining the radiator kept coolant out of the valley. You have to take the intake manifold off on the V6 so I saw the intake valves. They had a fair amount of carbon on them. With the manifold off I took all the insulation of the valve covers so spark plug change will be easier and looks better. Can tell no difference in noise. Only failure I've had, got it new. ❤️ The car

I had around 115,000 miles on my 2016 1SS 6-speed that I bought new back in October 2016 when I traded it in. I had zero issues I couldn't fix myself till it hit 100k. Then I had a fuel pump replaced, BCM, and wiring issues. Then a little bit after that I had to change out the control arm assemblies.

I also had magnetic ride, and one of those was leaking. They're not cheap. Also, the clutch was not slipping, but driving manual cars as long as I have I knew it was just a matter of time before it went. I traded it in before I dropped a few thousand on those repairs, though.

It's actually the best car I've ever owned as far as maintenance. It was never in the shop before the 100,000 miles rolled around. Not too bad at all.

Got my 2016 Camaro in February 2016 and now almost 10 years old. Except for routine maintenance and replacing the battery and tires have not had to spend any additional money. Could not asked for anything better.

My car was the literal reason it became a recall.

I had the steering rack failure a few months before it became a recall and the dealership couldn't figure out what was causing it. It took a GM Engineer to fly into the shop to diagnose it and ultimately authorized a replacement of the steering rack, my car was down for over 1 month while they were trying to handle it.

I got my 2018 zl1 in Nov 2020 with 3k miles. I just hit 13k a month ago. Lol. But i really only track the car and the occasional car show. So far (knock on wood) the only issue is had was prob 6 months ago when the face plate of the cruise control buttons on the steering wheel popped off and I had to replace it (made a post on here...good info btw). Past that, the only time i really have issues is when i forget to throw the trickle charger on it and it sits for a month or 2 and I go to start it. Battery is never dead, but it struggles to crank but fires up whenever thar happens I have weird electrical issues.

That being said, because its pretty much a dedicated track car, im sure i have changed the oil/trans/diff/coolany/brake fluid more times than people who drive their car as a daily and have higher miles.
