Worth noting, the reason Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is not out yet is it has been taking longer in testing due to the vastly different valve behavior when compared to the valves Chevy uses and even the valve behavior in CT4-V. So cross compatibility between the valve styles is not straightforward even for the same ‘manufacturer’. We offer a lifetime warranty so what we make has to work now and well down the road and we use R&D to make something great and be sure it lasts.

I hear you that this is something you want and encourage you to fill out the form if you haven't already, but I also want to be clear that we have never skimped on R&D and we won't start now.

Nothing is being brushed aside, hence me in the forums talking with you folks but two things remain true, we need to show our NPD panel (via the form) that there is significant interest in a new option for Camaro in order to get approved to move ahead with R&D and we will follow our procedures for R&D as if it were any other project.
Broke down and filled out the form. I want the product. Tell NPD to come take our money because it WILL be thrown at them if they produce Dave’s system. Especially if it utilizes the X pipe.

If only AWE would sell the discontinued performance link pipes I would switch to this setup of my Corsa NPP w/dpuble x pipe.

I don’t think they’ll go back to the link pipes, too much heat from the gov regulations. If only they’d sell this valved system, would be a great start!

Well it has been quite the time with more calls and zero updates from AWE... which is a total shame since every time I crack the throttle, the music that plays from the exhaust is simply unreal!

I am contemplating an order of the parts I had to build my system for a customer's car in March, and maybe by then... someone at AWE will have a brighter answer.

What happened to Patriot Motorsports USA stating earlier.....
"The exhaust system will be happening"
Perhaps some smoke and mirrors?

I filled out the stupid form as well. We could all just buy it from David, if he makes some more.

This was, hm, extra punny

We have to realize he has no control over AWE's commitments or lack thereof.

I can easily see him getting very excited about this potentially killer new exhaust and saying something like the above, but he alone can't make AWE manufacture it unless they see the opportunity and want to green light it.

Being a poor judge of character I'm the last person to pass judgement on anyone least those who might tend to exaggerate in print.

Smoke comes from the tires... with the beautiful sound of the AWE Exhaust I built.

Once again for those who do not wish to read the entire thread... I have been working with someone who has been with AWE for more than 20 years, so when he offered me lots of insight on how their systems get approved, it required my investment. So yes, I cherry-picked the CTS-V parts I wanted, paid for them, bought the proper valve actuators and made the modifications to the kit to make it fit my Camaro perfectly. I submitted the photos of the installation and shared with everyone here the process to getting the requests to AWE to build a system they already make 85% of the parts to.

Those who have seen my car at the track all know how incredible it sounds... there is simply nothing on the planet that sounds this good for a ZL1, or as quiet when you want to chill.

https://www.youtube.com/shorts/JvNzSBOhDlw

Enjoy the video and keep reaching out to AWE if you want a system. I will probably buy one for a customer's car and weld up the pipes I need to make it just like mine.

Seems like a case of semantics were your previous post states that AWE was "making progress" in developing the system when later post by one of their senior marketing folks in the know categorically states that there is no "Switchpath" exhaust system in development for the ZL1"
So it's clear that this system would not be coming from AWE any time in the near future

If at all.

There really isn’t a business case here. A system like that isn’t just “bend some pipe and sell it” — it’s real R&D money: engineering time, testing, validation, tooling, production setup, and ongoing support. Companies make those investments where they see growth and long-term volume.

The ZL1 platform is the opposite of that. Production is done, the pool of new buyers isn’t growing, and the ICE performance market as a whole is contracting. That’s a shrinking customer base with a short runway to recover costs — not exactly attractive from a manufacturer’s standpoint.

Realistically, the “submit an interest form” line sounds more like polite damage control than an actual product plan. It keeps enthusiasts engaged without having to say the blunt part out loud: this probably isn’t happening.
