Hoping this brings down the price of the prior TRX. By far my favorite truck. The Raptor R is way too much and Chevy is being lame not entering the “unnecessary powertrain option” truck market. Heck even if they did enter it they’d probably offer the least power since they are lame and only used the LT5 in the corvette. LT4 is down on power compared to the raptor R and TRX.
Maybe Stellantis will prove me wrong someday, but from what I've seen Hemi simply does not package in the STLA Large platform. It does package in the truck version of STLA because it is significantly raised. This is a picture I took at the NAIAS a couple years ago when the Charger Daytona was introduced. Notice the position of the shock towers. STLA was engineered around the inline Hurricane. Remember, they were on a path to end Hemi and focus on the inline series of engines that features the Hurricane so there was no reason to package protect for Hemi.

It would take a rather significant engineering effort to get Hemi packaged into STLA. Sure they did it for the one-off drag car, but that car doesn't have to meet any federal crash standards or achieve any meaningful handling specifications.

Yeah I know I just messing around.

Kananaskis is an area of Alberta close to Calgary with a nature based tourism appeal.

I bought this a few months ago for a daily driver. The most affordable V8 4X4 I found.

V8 Supercharged Hell-a-Fun and goofy?

The 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat 0 to 60 in 3.5 seconds and a 1/4 Mile in Mid 11s at $85K.

I will say it again though, my Longhorn with the SST H.O. is fun as hell to drive.

That should help them sell a few hatchbacks in Europe

I think what would draw a lot of attention is if they made an affordable track weapon like the Camaro 1LE was. I doubt it will happen because they have the Charger which fits the segment in their eyes but if they did I am sure it will be under not only Dodge but SRT badging as well.

Strong disagree and I say this as someone who does have a 1LE and does take it to the track. The roadcourse community is tiny. If I were CEO I would not approve building that car. I’d instead try to build a stripped down V8 (kind of like your LT1) for as cheap as possible. Heck I’d even green light what I described but with a supercharger added. I WISH one of the 3 would give us a supercharged V8 for 50-55k with no options but I know that’s a pipe dream. 55k is what slightly optioned Mustang GT’s cost now and probably what a 2SS with no options would cost if they still existed.

Billieve it or not that new Charger 6 Pack is heavier than the out going Chargers and Challengers.

The EV versions weigh as much as a pick up truck

That would probably be better then. Come out with a lighter car more affordable option like the Camaro LT1 I have and then add a track package similar to the PP2 in the Mustang or the 1LE in the Camaro. That way you have a sub 50k car for those that do not want the track package which will probably be the majority and then have a package similar to the 1LE for those that want it.

Yeah I am not a fan of the EV version. The Gas version is basically Grand Tourer type of performance car and from what watched/read better than last gen but no where close to a Camaro.
The new Charger is just too heavy why I mentioned maybe (which I doubt) they could come out with a much lighter model for the Dodge Brand.

Yeah, they certainly are "messing around" in the muscle car segment, which is a shame because they weren't messing around just a few years ago.

The new Charger (EV or 6 Pack) is not a good car if you're looking for a performance car. As a cruiser, sure, totally fine, in fact, it's actually pretty nice.

Otherwise, it's a pig that is too heavy and unbalanced. Remember, this car was designed for a battery pack underneath everything, so with everything being raised up coupled with no battery pack in the gas version to at least weigh down that lower portion, the center of gravity is naturally higher. In other words, this car was built ground up as an EV and because of that it suffers as a gas car.
